Elves are considered the most dangerous of the Fair Folk, and are the most mysterious.

Elves possess the ability to change shape, and they feed on love in addition to actual food. Their villages (cities? Kingdoms?) blend into the environment, and they are fierce.

Description
The average elf comes in one of three types. Pictured above is a typical, non-royal elvish citizen. Note the reduced nose, large eyes, and protruding fangs. Not shown are the hole-filled wings hidden under his cloak.

This type makes up the majority of elf society: the farmers, the hunters, and the soldiers.

This is a fine example of Elvish Royalty. more human-like, this Queen still possesses the dark skin, pointed ears, wings, and fangs of other elves.

Then there are the High Elves, so rare it is believed only one lineage exists: that of the Elvish High Queen, Chrysalis.

Chrysalis normally looks like her fellow royals, but supposedly this is just to put a limiter on her magic ability. Stage 2 Chrysalis is notably more human-like and more powerful.

Stage 3 has only been seen once by one observer who saw the queen battling a dragon. When she was drenched in flames, a cocoon-like shell formed. from it emerged what the queen would naturally look like.

It is believed normal elves are able to "ascend" to High Elf rank in a similar manner to how an Arcane human can become a Seraph.

Society
Elves categorize themselves into Kingdoms, each led by a Queen, and all answering to the rule of the High Queen.

Tactics
Elves believe in "safety in numbers", and usually attack en masse, overwhelming the enemy with the sheer amount of soldiers.

Elves use blades, particularly longswords, sabres, broadswords, twin swords, and daggers, though they also can use their teeth and claws to deadly effect.

Female Elves are particularly dangerous to men, as they can use their shape-changing abilities to take human form and beguile a man, who unwittingly feeds the elf love, making her stronger, and putting him under her control.

Elves will occasionally leave changelings- elf-children left to be raised by humans. these children will act as liaisons between their two families, and elves protect houses holding one of their own
