I"m sorry. It was widely known over at the Wings of Fire Wiki, which I visit every day I can.
About him having died, well, just browse through the forums there in things like this. Think about this: Vengeance took a while to die, and they were literally holding him under the lava. NightWings seem to have a resistance to heat, and a fireball wouldn't be enough to kill him. Starflight was badly injured because his scales weren't old and hard like Morrowseer's.
On top of that, if you examine the comments on various posts on her facebook page, there's a place where she says to someone:
So, Morrowseer's not dead for sure, and many people there would argue he's probably alive.
363558 …… I need to start looking at the dates on things... Besides, if you all knew about this then why did no one say anything?! After all, not everyone is the type to just stalk people on social media.
Also, I'm pretty sure Morrowseer died. No normal dragon could survive getting blasted head-on by molten rock.
