Before I start, I'd like to apologise for taking so long to get this contest up and running. I've had a lot on my plate recently, college and all. Fortunately things have quietened down now, so now's a better time than any

So what will this new contest entail? Well it'll be much the same as our last contest, just with a few small differences:

Contest rules:

1) Write a story based on one of the pictures below. This story must have a word count of between 2000-8000 words. We aren't to strict on this however - if you end up going slightly over, that's fine.

2) The story must be clearly inspired by one of the pictures (Your cover photo should be whatever picture it was inspired by, it will make it easier for both us and you. You can change it once the contest is over ). This may present itself as a theme or a scene, or whatever. If we think that it strays from the point too much, then it'll get a boot. If we have to ask you how it relates to the picture after reading, chances are that you have failed.

3) The contest ends on the 23rd of March. This gives you guys and gals two weeks to write a good short story. You may submit at any time, but not after the deadline

4) If you intend to enter this contest, leave a reply to this thread that you are first or PM me. When you have completed your fics, link it in a reply to this post or PM me. They will then be added to the entries folder, which will be locked to prevent any adding of fics without our consent. Remember to state in the description that it is an entry for this contest, it'll make things easy

5) No, I'm sure they won't notice if I just copy and paste the rules from the last thread Pearple. Just go with it

Hear ye, hear ye! All those who have considered entering our contest listen, for we have made suitable changes due to the current events:

1: Contest deadline has been changed to march 30th. Hopefully another week will give the mods a chance to fix the lack of thread notifications, so that we can then release the results in an effective manner. This will also give those of you who haven't finished yet another chance to enter

2: After a little talk with my fellow admins (primarily pearple), we saw fit to lower the minimum word count to 1000 words. As he put it:
