Application Help

The application is a critical part of becoming a successful editor. What information you include will be viewed by other users and may be a determining factor when choosing an editor. What you include will reflect you as an editor, make sure whatever you say is good and convincing.


Username: Your Fimfiction Username
Google Account: This is not required to become an editor but will allow you to update your information whenever you want.
Short Description: This will be used to help the authors navigate quickly through the list of all the editors instead of them looking through each and every description of every editor. Make it short (no more than 50 words) but at the same time, try to get the author's attention so they will want to read the rest of your information. Anything from what you are willing to do (proofread, generate ideas, ect.) to what you specialize in (grammar, spelling ect.).
Preferred Story Type(s): Include any story types (sad, human, ect) that you like to read. If a story type is not included here or in the Refused Story Types, it does not necessarily mean you will not read them.
Description: Include any information regarding yourself. Who you are, what work you are willing to do, any experience you may have, where and how you can be contacted, ect. This is what users will be looking at when deciding on an editor. Make sure what you include has correct grammar and spelling as this will reflect you as an editor. An author will not choose an editor that cannot spell and will drive them away. Be formal in what you write, make it look and sound good as it will make you seem like a better choice.
Preferred Story Length: Include any minimum and/or maximum length in words of a story.
Refused Story Type(s): Whichever story types you include here are types that you will absolutely not read
Additional Notes: Include any other information that you would like the admins or the other users to see.


When you sign up to be an editor, the information you include in your application will be formated into a Google Document. This document gives you the opportunity to edit and personalize the document however you please with the exception that the editor information must be displayed in there. To make this feature possible, you need to include your Google Account(Gmail, G+, ect.) so we can give it editing privileges for your document.

If you decide to change your Short Description or Preferred Story Types, you MUST contact an admin about the change so we can update the information displayed in the Editor List.
