Yes, if your story is 1000+ words & even vaguely related to MLP any generation you can post it.

It will be checked by the site moderators then posted. It will probably not be featured but you will be listed in New Stories.
After that you can list it in as many groups as will let you.

1) Plagiarism.
This counts song lyrics & poetry because they are copyrighted. Basically, if it was written post WWI you can quote the title, mention it & post a link in the author's notes but anything more & you run the risk of the copyright holder turning nasty. Site moderators don't like to risk it.
2) Porn.
If there is graphic sex or too much violence or gore, you need a Mature rating. If there is sex, it helps if you can specify all sex participants are at least 18. You've got human or anthro characters, several countries will ban the site France banned Pepe LePew for this, so yes, it matters.
3) Readability.
They are fairly relaxed about this but if your spelling, grammar, or punctuation is REALLY bad, they'll make you get a proofreader. +Unless specifically labeled as a crackfic, it has to be reasonably coherent.
