99% of the Gene Deitch era he doesn't get Tom & Jerry!

I never really liked the Chuck Jones era. He made things a little too bouncy and the slapstick wasn't nearly as good as the original T&J era. It's also ironic because Jones made the Roadrunner & Coyote cartoons to make fun of Tom & Jerry, only to discover working on T&J that it wasn't as easy as he thought it was and he later admitted he was rash in making such a judgment towards the cat and mouse.
