I am aware that it only exists in "My Little Pony 'n Friends" aka. G1.... However I was wondering how many people incorporated the location Crystal Desert into their Fanon/Canon/Head canon?
Personally it seems to be a very beautiful location reminiscent of the place where the Crystal Ponies live. The similarities are striking:
1: far away to the north,
2: having to cross a dry inhospitable landscape to arrive at a perfect magical oasis,
3: populated with a rare type of pony that inspired awe,
4: both have a "Crystal Heart" associated with their magic
3137592 the Crystal Tundra is also home to the northern part of the Everfree, the Crystal mountains, and Soul Flower Plateau. in other words, there's a very small amount of plant life, an we don't really see it in the episode.

3137489 Semi-incorporated, as I've decided the place the Crystal ponies live is called the Crystal TUNDRA.
3137570 The Arctic and Antartica are both called Cold/Frozen Deserts though. Tundra at least has small plantlife.
