Right now I'm working on a Button Mash story in which he faces his big brother Commodore in an epic video game showdown and, well loses to his big brother, numerous times. Towards the end, Commodore is forced under threat of his mother to let his little brother replay all their matches and let Button win; as an older sibling I can say that being forced to let my younger sibling surpass me is as deadly to me as Kryptonite is to Superman, but also as a younger sibling, I can appreciate gloating when I've beaten my elder sibling at something he's good at. Here's my problem; the ending I propose for this is that after Button "wins" the matches and their mother leaves them alone, Commodore gets his vengeance by giving his little brother all sorts of torments like Indian burns, noggies, and so forth, but I may want to end the story differently.

So do I stick with the sour ending or scrap it and end it happily?
