Well, there's a lot I could tell you about...

The basics of it are there is this planet with a bunch of various species living on it, as well as Gods who by existing affect the universe in different ways, they're like physical representations of abstract concepts. When the universe is in turmoil or imbalance these Gods can make lesser beings into things called Nodes, which are like the 'Judges of the Universe'. They essentially decide what's wrong and right in the universe, and also get super badass powers. There's also a book called The Chronicle, which is sorta like a back-up for the Gods, which was written by the first lesser beings. The whole verse pretty much revolves around the different species on the planet fighting for this book, with the Nodes trying to help as best they can, and the Gods sorta just staying on the sidelines.

Species is something close to my own heart as my nation is not a human race but is not too different to make it impossible to role play with others. The only real restriction on species we have is that they have weaknesses along with all of their strengths and that they are not ponies.

Changed it to kingdom for now, and it'll most likely stay that way, at least for a while.

The restrictive government comes from the years of constant war the country went through about a decade ago, though the new, much younger ruler is more open to change and freedom than his grandfather was, but it'll take some time for him to get used to his new position.
