In the Feed, blog posts and new story announcements have footer areas which display the number of comments on the item in question, but which are not, disappointingly, links to said comments.
Also, on any given user's page, when looking at a list of their blogs, the same shortcoming is observed
When looking at a list of a user's stories, the comment counts (displayed as a header, this time) are similarly deficient.
On a story's TOC/description page, the link is missing. Ditto chapters.
Ironically, posting this thread generated my first bug.
It turned the "by yrfoxtaur" bit in this thread's feed item footer into two links, where 'by' points to the top of this thread (not the top of the page, mind, but the first post. it's targeted correctly, it's just not necessary to add the link, and especially there)
apparently forum thread posts are classed like blog posts, who knew?twas a regression in my code. Fixed now.

This fixes that.
It was not as easy as I thought, and the code is a tad ugly, but it works great.
