If anyone could come up with a real ending to these episodes, how would you do it since these to me could've alternate the fate of the mane six and others:

Owl's Well That Ends Well

Dragon Quest

Ponyville Confidential

6179048 I would change the entirety of Dragon Quest for it to instead that in the dragon meeting Spike finds someone related to his real parents and have the episode learning about them as well as the dragons, showing them to be more than the teenager idiots we got.

What about Mysterious Mare-Do-Well, Spike at Your Service or One Bad Apple?

Yeah, Change the storyline for Ponyville Confidential, Have the Mane Six go to a secret meeting made by Princess Celestia, Princess Luna and Shining Armor, but what is the secret do they have to keep away from?

That's a cool idea! :moustache:

I know that for PC, I’d try starting off from where the CMC are in their clubhouse after finding that they’ve pissed off everyone, and resorting to running away. Everyone feels bad, Diamond would’ve gotten more punishment, and the Mane 6 would’ve started looking for them to patch things up...

6179050
Now that would be an episode. This episode no doubt showed me that the writers have ZERO respect for dragons.

6179071
Mysterious Mare-Do-Well : No doubt this one indeed, If I was in R.D's place I practically would disown those BLOCKHEADS since they did squat jack of talking to her about her ego without realizing THEIR EGOS are JUST AS BAD AS HER'S.

Spike At Your Service: Once again Twilight's oblivious to SPIKE'S feelings and place in her life. Makes me wonder why couldn't he stayed at the dragon migration when he had the chance?

One Bad Apple: Tiara & Spoon is HECK enough, but her? She doesn't have a CM & she decides to hangout with the terrible twosome? What's that all about exactly?

6179123
Indeed, Check out this idea came up with a while back: Instead of returning to Ponyville, the CMC's would tell the Mane SIX not to bother about bringing them back. Seeing that they didn't even bother to hear their side of the whole situation and actually let themselves get so sucked into the unhealthy fascination with the lives of others, not to mention not knowing what it's like being constantly bullied for not having a CM and always standing out in the crowd, returning back wouldn't be worth anymore of that. If I was there with them. I'd asked them if would they be happier spending their lives around those who knows what it's like to be them and to be welcomed in with open arms on having a better understanding of what their lives are instead of those in Ponyville that DON'T.

This meeting, know what it's about?

6179123
You know, I do have a runaway story idea in my Author Wanted blog.

6179048
Clip a few unnecessary things out of Confidential (like Fluttershy crying :fluttershysad:), have the CMC print the retraction and the confession article, then have them hide away from the town for a few hours. Then, have the Apples and the Mane Six find them and apologize for being so mean, because they were just as responsible for "Gabby Gums" as they were, because they wanted more stories about others and were hypocrites as soon as the hurtful stories they wanted became about them. Maybe even cut Diamond Tiara out of the episode altogether, and make it about a grade or something.

Can't think of something off hand for the other two. I'll get back to you on that. :twilightsheepish:

2. No problem.

I too have thought about the CMC running away, but with a twist: they run to CANTERLOT seeking help from Princess Celestia!

They sneak aboard the train and enter Canterlot. As they entire the castle, the guards stop them and they learn an appointment must be made ahead of schedule to see the Princess. They try several times to sneak inside and are ejected by the guards (like Link in Ocarina of Time). Finally they build a catapult on the roof of a nearby building and launch themselves at the castle...only to fall short (unknowingly) of Celestia's room. They scream as the plummet to the ground but they are enveloped in magic and levitated up to the balcony of Celestia's room and sat on the floor in front of the Princess. She smiles at them and they in turn burst into tears and hug the Princess' legs. Celestia is startled by their reaction and lowers herself to the floor and wraps them in her wings where they fall asleep. Recognizing them as the younger sisters of the Element Bearers, she puts them in her bed and sends a message to Twilight. Several hours later the trio awaken and Celestia has some food brought in. After the meal, the girls open up about ALL the issues they're dealing with in Ponyville and how they feel they can only really turn to Celestia right now. Celestia offers sage advice to them (what specifically, I don't know...I'm not really a writer). A guard knocks on the door and informs the princess the Mane 6 have arrived...and is immediately knocked aside as the girls barrel into the room. Rarity and Applejack pounce on their sisters and wrap them in hugs and kisses, while Pinkie & Fluttershy hug Scootaloo. Rainbow looks ashamed and Twilight looks relieved, but gestures at Rainbow towards Scootaloo. After a bit, the Mane 6 try to lecture the girls about running away and their problems...which causes the CMC to EXPLODE at them. They point out their hypocrisy and how they never let them tell their side and such. Celestia clears her throat and gives a lecture to all of them, pointing out how each side did wrong and how each should have handled things...but does comment that's she's disappointed in the Mane 6. Apologies are made on all sides and the next day they all return home. The girls are confronted by Cheerilee who apologizes for letting things get out of hoof and informs them Diamond Tiara has been removed from the paper, has had to write an apology letter to the town and has 1 month of detention. Upon arriving at the orchard they spy DT assisting Big Mac with chores while Filthy Rich and Granny Smith observe. Rich apologizes to them for his daughters behavior and ensures that she's been punished with 2 months of grounding, no allowance and has to help at the orchard with either Big Mac or Granny Smith.

My idea was similar to that, only When the CMC end up in Canterlot, they are chased down by a gang of creepo ponies and take refuge inside the castle thanks to Shining Armor. They explain the story to Princess Celestia, who isn’t mad at them for her depiction in the paper, and sympathizes with them while also being quite surprised at her student for being so selfish and refusing to hear them out. She would sing a song to 3 about how even when others get angry, they still love them regardless, she then would show them what would happen if they don’t go home, including AJ and Rarity becoming ill from a broken heart, and Rainbow Dash would cause self harm. Celestia would agree to take them home and help sort things out, but on the way there, a dragon would attack and cause the CMC to fall into the Everfree. The others would eventually find the fillies in Zecora’s hut, badly hurt and banged up, and are taken to the hospital, there’s forgiveness and apologies, DT, after being grounded while they were in the hospital is demoted down to ink press and Featherweight offers the CMC to work alongside him as the new editor and chief...

My idea for rewriting MDW? It actually involves "fusing" said episode with Read It and Weep.

Hear me out of here, we start off with Rainbow Dash doing her heroics and saving citizens around Ponyville, however she ends up injuring her wing when performing one of the rescues, like say when the balcony fell off. While recovering in the hospital she's given a Daring Do book to read by Twilight, like in the original she dismisses it at first but eventually decides to check it out. Fast forward to her getting hooked on the story, however when she overhears one of the nurses talking about another disaster that occurred in Ponyville she becomes motivated by the idea of Daring Do doing what's right despite having an injured wing, she attempts to sneak out of the hospital and see if she can at least help prevent a few disasters despite her injury. However when she realized that she'll be recognized in get in trouble for leaving the hospital she snatches an old costume from Rarity's Boutique (leaving behind some bits as payment) and becomes the Mysterious Mare Do Well. The episode then shifts back and forth between Rainbow Dash reading up on during these adventures and then her performing her heroics in costume, sometimes utilizing a certain skill or trick that she read in the book. However at certain points said heroics become too much for her to handle (like say, the construction site or the dam), and she ends up requiring help, said help comes in the form of the rest of the mane six. RD tries to flee the scene despite her injuries but the crowd almost catches up with her, at the last second however multiple MDW'S show up all the crowd off Rainbow Dash makes her escape and gets back to the hospital in time. Near the end when she finally gets better the rest of her friends reveal that they had used copies of the costume to help her out, revealing that while they appreciate her being a hero, even heroes need backup every now and then.

I did and I was mighty impressed.

PERFECT. Curiosity is the timeline of this idea was before or after MDW?

Well it's a "fused" episode, so exactly when it happens is slightly debatable...

This thread has really gained a lot of story ideas. I wish there was a way to bookmark this thread.

While I can't speak for the other episodes mentioned at present, something I'd probably do with MDW would be change things around in terms of lesson (heroes are humble? WTFS? Disney Hercules? Flash? Superman? Spiderman? Others?). I'd probably have things as the episode is either a 2-parter or feature length. Start with Rainbow saving a few ponies, get into the whole 'lifestyle', then the other girls notice that she's pushing things beyond what they know of her abilities and leaving ponies in trouble to do autographs and such. They start off by trying to talk to her, get her to focus on the rescues and get help for things but she keeps blowing them off until one of them is nearly caught in an accident and another besides Rainbow has to pull them out. Something Rainbow fails to notice due to it not being majorly bad, though it might have had the potential to go that way.

Once that event happens they come up with Mare-Do-Well as a possible role model hero, with all five of them taking part but focusing on saving other ponies using their abilities, maybe with them having some alternate costumes for if there needs to be more than one around at once, which leads to the scenes actually in the episode, the dam, construction site, carriage, etc, however the end scene, instead of one of them in costume showing up at the rally, all five go and actually call Rainbow out, sticking there instead of running away. Once Rainbow shows, they do the reveal themselves, pointing out that anyone can be a hero under the right circumstances and that just because you are a hero doesn't mean you can leave things to the last moment or that you don't necessarily need help at times.

In terms of other bits, I'd probably lose the bit about being humble since that's down to the person and I call BS on several in our world, heck in one of the old Christopher Reeve Superman films they actually have Supes pretty much convincing everyone to launch their nukes so he can shove them into the sun. I'd probably also drop the MDW boasting session and have it more a comparison session, ie have them comment on Rainbow's tendency to focus on the crowds while MDW focuses on the victims or that she'll call help if she can't handle something herself while Dash doesn't, maybe mention Dash could take some pages from MDW's book on some things but try not to really push MDW into replacing Dash. Actually, I'd possibly have it that the girls hear about things and try - by talking to Mayor Mare - to tone things down, saying that they don't want someone they created to show their friend what they've been doing wrong getting bigged up out of proportion with what they're trying to do.

6179497
Now this would be a AWESOME alternate ending to that episode, and here's some bonus advice for your idea: If what happened to the CMC's got out to those in and outside of Canterlot other than the Princesses, well let's just say what would these folks think of either of the MANE 6 afterwards?

Twilight's Parents
Shinning Armor
Princess Cadance
Hoity Toity
Fancy Pants
Sapphire Shores
Photo Finish
The Wonderbotls
Applejack's Cousins
Rarity's Parents
Gilda
Rainbow's Parents

6179548
Interesting idea, would Luna be in it as well?

6263926
Wow. I am shocked and happy that you actually replied to my post. Thank you.

6263976
No problem, but still about those names I listed, what do you think their reactions would be?

The parents (and other family members) would be disappointed in them. Business associates would probably react negatively (although I thought Rarity was the only one to speak with Sweetie Belle about what they did), though at this moment Gilda wouldn't care as she (right now) isn't that friendly with Rainbow anymore.

6270528
1. I didn't see this last week, did you click the reply button for the response I made with the list of names?
2. Here a breakdown of what I believe what could happen to the following individuals if my idea went ahead and succeeded:

1. Twilight Sparkle & Spike: Should word of their actions spread out, they'll never live this down. They NEVER DARE go back to Canterlot, The PRINCESSES will NEVER speak to them or look at them the same way again for causing another FRIENDSHIP PROBLEM. Same goes for the rest of Twilight's family. Thus Twilight would practically have to give up her studies on the magic of friendship.

2. Applejack & Big Macintosh: Should word of their actions spread out, they'll never live this down. They NEVER DARE go back to Applelosa. Their fellow family members will CEASE speaking to them or look at them the same way again for turning their backs on one of their own flesh & blood. Meaning they'd practically have to give up their apple business.

3. Rainbow Dash: Should word of her actions spread out, she'll never live this down. She'll NEVER DARE go back to Canterlot. Her parents and the Wonderotls will CEASE speaking to her, let her in, or look at her the same again. Not only will she be forced to give up her dreams but former friend GILDA will surely rub this in her face realizing R.D. is practically WORSE than she is.

4. Rarity: Should word of her actions spread out, she'll never live this down. She'll NEVER DARE go back to Canterlot. Her parents & any of the UPPER CRUST'S (Including those in the FASHION WORLD) will CEASE speaking to her, cut their businesses with her, & never look at her the same again. Thus her dreams & business is officially in the CAN.

5. Pinkie Pie: Should word of her actions spread out, she'll never live this down. She'll NEVER DARE step out of her home. Her parents would get demonized for bad parenting. She'll be forced to give up parties & the family business of SWEET'S.

6. Fluttershy: Should word of her actions spread out, she'll never live this down. She'll NEVER DARE leave her house. Her outside relatives would CEASE speaking to her again. She might even have to give up Animal Caretaking.

6179048
People do the CMC running away in Ponyville Confidential and getting lost in the Everfree whenever that type of story comes up.

But an idea I had is that instead of blindly running off, the CMC actually have a destination in mind; they seek sanctuary with Scootaloo's aunts. The girls stay there for a while laying low, with Lofty and Holiday making sure they aren't discovered.

So while their families are looking for them, the girls themselves are safe and sound until eventually being found.

7604121
Would the princesses be featured in it? Surely they would have to give a lecture to the townsfolks I.E. THE MANE SIX about their actions in failing to resolve this properly. Not to mention it was their own fault for wanting more until they became the targets in D.T.'S scheme.

7604132
Don't know, I was just throwing that concept out there as I think it would be interesting to explore.
