Applejack may be stronger due to being an earth pony, who bucks apples for a living, but, Dash is a Pegasus! and a natural athlete she's fit, and she can fly. so she's got an advantage in speed.

No rule? Then RD will win she has the advantage of air strikes. All reasonable but if flying wans't allowed then applejack has the advantage So ya my thoughts

Applejack, she's the superior athlete, RD is too hot headed to resort to logical tactics. She'd assume she'd win and end up getting her flank handed to her when she zoomed in.
