Okay, we all knew we were going to have to figure this out eventually. I feel it is time that we figure out the colors of the Council. This has to be a community discussion, because unlike the NLR and SE, we don't have pony to base our color scheme on. So a expect I expect everyone to throw in their two cents with this one.

I only have one cent, will that work? :trollestia:

How many colors we talkin'? Cuz in my experience, when dealing with art, three is pushing it when it comes to representation. I would go with blue and white, because either that or red and white are my favorite color scemes.

Stryker12324

It would have to be bright and hope inspiring colors. So, for instance, a scheme of red and black would not be good. Or any other kind of dark colors for that matter.

How about cyan blue and lavender? I think those colors go perfectly together.
Or, if done well enough, black and white. Or like Chrome said, a white and red scheme would be awesome.

But what are these colors for? The flag? Their armor paint jobs? If I know what's being colored, I can give you a better answer. Right now I'm just throwing pairs of colors that go well together.

I have to agree with 370677 here. Bright colors would work best. Although we'd have to be careful to not accidentally use the Empire's colors.

Stryker12324

370683 What are the Empire's colors anyway? I never bothered learning anything about the SE and the NLR.

AimBot
Group Admin

370692 To be honest, neither did I... I'd assume they're colors would be something along the lines of white & yellow. Or maybe white and orange... Something like that. So those color schemes are out.

Innate Enigma
Group Contributor

370654 I guess that works.........for now. :pinkiecrazy:
370660 Two colors will work fine.
370677 I know what to use Cyan and Lavender for, I'm sure you can figure it out. I think they will fit perfectly together. Also they can be for anything. They can be the colors for the army or the flag or whatever you think they fit for.

AimBot

370706 Well, since each Magistrate has their own personal military force, would they each have their special colors?

Stryker12324
Group Contributor

370706 So what will the flag look like anyway? I've currently got a heavy armor concept in progress for the military.

AimBot
Group Admin

370717 Huzzah, armor! Would we want the seal incorporated on the flag? 370706

Innate Enigma
Group Contributor

370711 Possibly, based on their coat and mane color? No, that wouldn't work.
370717 370722 I haven't really thought about the flag design, been too busy with seals and procrastinating with other things :twilightsheepish: But I don't think the Magistrates would want their group seal on the flag. But they might use it anyway. Also I hope your armor designs are going better then mine, I haven't even got drawing the basic template of a pony down.

AimBot
Group Admin

370731>>370717 Well, for their personal forces... Maybe colors that are associated with their skills? I don't really know... Fluttershy's Medical Corps could wear olive drab and red crosses? I'm just throwin' stuff out here...

Stryker12324
Group Contributor

370731 The template of a pony is no problem, the details of the armor are. They are a BITCH to draw correctly angled and proportioned. :twilightangry2:

Anyway, my current armor scheme is for heavy assault troops, or shock troops. I'll decide later. I got several more schemes drawn out very generally so once I'm done with the heavy, I'll move on to another one.

AimBot

370743 And THAT is why you're going to be a general in our army, alongside 370731 over here. Keep up the good work Stryker, Wheat... Everypony else.

Stryker12324
Group Contributor

370737 They each have their own personal forces? I thought there were just different aspects of their military.

AimBot
Group Admin

370747 Well... We kinda went over this before, didn't we? Each of the Magistrates would have a sort of "strike-force" at their own command. Twilight has magic specialists, Fluttershy has a medical corps, AJ has an Intelligence thing going on, you know?

Stryker12324
Group Contributor

370754 I never heard about that. :rainbowderp:

EDIT: OH! I think you mean that when it comes to certain areas, certain members have more say than others.

Innate Enigma
Group Contributor

370743 Lucky for you, every time I try to draw the template for the pony I feel like I can't proportion it right.
370737 Possibly.

AimBot
Group Admin

370755 No, no... Hang on, lemme find where (and if) we've said this before... It may take a moment. :derpytongue2:

Stryker12324
Group Contributor

370759 I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Like, when it comes to internal affairs, AJ and Pinkie are the most capable because of Honesty (detecting lies) and the Pinkie Sense. Not that they don't all play a role in this, just that AJ and Pinkie play the biggest role. I even included a part for that in my doc.

AimBot
Group Admin

370764 It was one of the first things we discussed on the Military page. Each of the Magistrates would have a branch of the military based off of them - not their own personal forces. It was your idea, actually.
AJ and Pinkie are the two Magistrates who we decided would work best for Politics, right?

Stryker12324
Group Contributor

370769 Ah, that. Just to make things clear, that was an early idea I had, before we discussed it further and I decided to just make it so that certain Elements just had more push in certain areas. For instance, infrastructure decisions would be made by all the elements but someone like Rarity would have the most say in the matter because of her attention to detail and foresight. Things involving the military would have all the elements making a decision but Twi and RD would have the most say since they are the most capable for it (Fluttershy the least for obvious reasons) in terms of commanding personalities and tactical genius.

AimBot
Group Admin

370779 Yes, I believe we went over that in the miscellaneous conversations... Well, we've cleared up something, at least... Now where were we? :rainbowderp:

Stryker12324
Group Contributor

370783 Talking about flag and armor schemes. Interesting to know that we went from colors to those two things.

AimBot
Group Admin

370789 Now we know why we have so many conversations in this group... We're really good at changing the subject.

FLAGS AND ARMOR. Alright. Let's do our best to stay on this topic. So... Flags, or armor?

Innate Enigma
Group Contributor

370783>>370779 Please try to keep the number of posts down, I want to see everyone throw in their thoughts and I think our large amount of post keeps them from doing that sometimes.

Stryker12324
Group Contributor

370792 Let's stick with the flag. I'll reveal the armor once it's ready.

370794 I'm shahwy. :fluttershysad:

AimBot
Group Admin

370794 Roger that. I'll see if I can coax BronyRex into showing up.

Innate Enigma
Group Contributor

370800>>370792 How bout we move this over to Misc. Conversations (2)?

AimBot
Group Admin

370807>>370800 Sounds like a plan.

BronyRex

370758
I know im late on tgis but what about the colirs of the cutie marks. Each one us only two colors and each section if the council would be the colors if the element in questions cutie mark

Innate Enigma
Group Contributor

371039 That's an idea

BronyRex
Group Admin

370817>>370800
what do you think of my idea on the color sceme, each section of the council would be dual colored based on the Element in charge, and the colors would be based of said Elements cutie mark.
 would be Magenta and white
:rainbowdetermined2: Would be white and Rainbow(That would be the only dificult one)
:pinkiehappy: would be Yellow and Blue
:flutterrage: would be pink and blue
:applejackunsure: would be red and green
:raritystarry: would be cyan and dark blue.

AimBot
Group Admin

371376 For :raritywink: Instead of blue, how about purple?

Innate Enigma

371385>>371384>>371379 What did I say about posts? :ajsleepy: Well, I guess it doesn't really matter I think most of the others have decided that we have everything well in hoof, because every time I ask for everyone to throw in their opinion their quiet. :ajsleepy: Oh, well.

Stryker12324

371413 They can just be our loyal troops then.
