We wanted to go home. But home was further away than we could have ever imagined: an endless journey across the wastes, and a trek into the deepest reaches of the mind and soul.
Okay, it might have been said and I don't remember it but are any of the characters aware of the FO:E universe? Because its been shown they know mlp but they are showing too much intuition for strangers to the world, and if they are that needs to be addressed. Apart from that the grammar is okay but there are points of the story that are just too generic for stories and some are just plain silly. But, hey, it's your story and I'll just keep seeing where it goes.
I'm honestly surprised that you got to this so soon. I'd squee a little bit if I wouldn't hack up gunk all over the carpet.
Yes, the characters are more or less completely genre savvy. That was by design, a sort of 'If you knew the land you were in, how would you deal with that?' I figured if I was going to break and buck all the writers' traditions, I might as well go all the way. Thus, each of the main characters are next to carbon copies of people I know, readership of FoE included. I suspect that sooner or later that will go horribly awry.
5417887 okay, that's fine and I don't think it will be a problem. But if you try to involve them with any of the major points in the FO:E story then you'll lose a lot of people.
No argument there, good sir. None at all. And I already had this outlined before publishing, and it doesn't have any of those. Guess that counts as some spoilers, but oh well.
And thank you for your relatively calm point of view on this. Seems I get exactly two kinds of people that read this story: the first want me to move up my posting schedule, and the other kind downvote without ever opening the story. You seem to be the middle road of 'Thinks, and let's me know what he's thinking.' I appreciate that.
So these people know what 'Fallout: Equestria' is? I'm pretty sure none of them mentioned that in the previous chapters. Despite that little issue, I'm enjoying this so far, keep up the good work.
Yeah, I decided to have the characters not mention this in chapter one, as there was no way for them to know before the fight, and afterwords it still could not be assumed, only guessed at, not known for sure. If I could hazard a guess (and yes I know that's a bizarre thing to say about one's own characters) they still at this point do not know for certain, but it's a strong assumption.
Glad to hear you're enjoying it! So long as I'm honest with myself as to the schedule, the next chapter will be up on January 6th.
