Angels played a splendid song, and it floated over the heavens, and the light illumined everything and everything. And the angels worked, and their souls rejoiced, cast into heavenly bliss. But one day a voice from above said: 'Fratribus! Veritatem defendere! Aditum nocendi perfido praestat fides!' But the angels did not listen to the voice, and let him in...

Sometimes we forget who we really are. We ignore things that should be important until we forget they were even there and end up locked away in forgotten places in our hearts. But no matter what happens, we can never hide from ourselves. This is the story of when people meet, even when they were never meant to do so. A story that shows us how alien we can be to other worlds... Or to ourselves.

I still can't believe it all started with a family camping trip gone wrong. One moment I was enjoying my time with my parents and brothers, then next thing I knew I was stranded on a world full of magic and mythological creatures. In one day, I went from worrying about the upcoming calculus test to worrying about my next meal. I remember how the only thing keeping me going was the hope that I might find a way home. Little did I know that some deities had other plans in store for me.

I remember all the promises I made, both those kept and betrayed. I remember the friends I made on my little adventure; the same friends I threw away when everything came crashing down. Oh, the memories I made... Oh, the memories I am now forever cursed to remember.

I suppose this is a just punishment. My only regret is that my friends may never hear my side of the story.

Set between Seasons 2 and 3 // Some deviations from canon post-season 2 due to when this was originally started.

Tired out after a Wonderbolts show, Rainbow Dash decides to stop at a hotel along the side of the road. Although happy at first, she soon finds out that this hotel is not at all what it seems to be, and only wishes she could leave.
*Disclaimer*: Yes, this story is based on the song "Hotel California". I do not own the song, just this story. All song rights, though the lyrics are never used, are owned by The Eagles.

A long time ago, unicorns were not the only ponies to do magic. Members of the other races also had such power, focused in a different way. Using the magic ambient within the environment, they worked spells with Runes to alter the world around them.

They were called Weavers.

Fearing their power, immoral nobles took advantage of Celestia's bereavment over Luna's banishment to all but exterminate these ponies.

Now, the last survivors, living in hiding for their own survival, seek to keep their secret in their new home in Ponyville. Unfortunately, there are those who would stop at nothing to make sure Weavers are extinct.

A thousand years ago, Luna tried to create a new country where ponies could live under the strength of the moon. Her sister Celestia tried to stop her, saying that it would destroy the Equestria they lived in, but Luna didn't listen. A few years later a war erupted between Equestria and Luna's Moonlight Kingdom. When the dust settled, neither alicorn stood standing, and Equestria became locked in the dusk that the battle was fought in. That was one story that was told of Equestria, one whose fate is said to lead to tragedy...

... but it is one that no longer exists, and would never be known.

In the present, the sun and moon still shine high in Equestria's sky. Celestia and Luna some decades ago gave the throne to Twilight, and in time she shaped Equestria into a country even stronger then before. Yet even then, the sudden disappearance of both the old matriarchs and the leaders of the Crystal Empire has caused unwanted friction. Things stay at peace despite this, and for all ponies know the future is bright and beautiful.

Then one day a young pegasus by the name of Luminous strolled into Canterlot looking for a dear friend. No one knew the mare, no one had ever seen her before, and for unknown reasons she had no cutie mark. What is known, is that was the day everything started going downhill. Forces from times long gone, unknown horrors that ponykind has never seen, and another timeline abandoned and broken.

History seems doomed to repeat itself, that is but fact. We can't go back to how things are, and can't be stuck in the past. The only choice available now is to see what the future holds, and hope Equestria stands strong when no future was determined for it.

This is a reworking of an old series that I was writing back in 2016 called Descendants of the Night. You can still find that on here, but be warned that things in that story will seem drastically different from the one you will see here.

Inspired by the song Bismarck by the amazing band Sabaton!

When the Allies sunk the great battleship Bismarck, they thought it would be gone for good, left at the bottom of the Atlantic to rust as the Second World War raged on. What they didn't know was that the ship never made it to the ocean floor. Instead, the hulking battle machine was transported to someplace entirely unknown to mankind, with its sole survivor taken along for the ride.

The Gryphon Empire had been expanding its borders for centuries, gaining power and influence over the majority of the planet while at the same time stretching themselves ever thinner. Now, with food shortages threatening to tear the Empire apart, they look towards the only hope of salvation they have, Equestria.

Yet the pride of a predatory race would never allow for them to stoop to begging or trading for what they need. In their very blood there is a cry for war that cannot be denied if they are to save all that they have built. However, only a fool would dare go against the magical might of the pony nations, even taking into account the abysmal state of their military. Yet all of that changes when the hulk of a massive war vessel appears on the shores of their homeland, with a very strange pony the only being aboard.

Will Equestria fall under the power of one of mankind's most infamous warships? How will our lone human-turned-pony react to being in both a new body and world? You'll just have to take a look inside and see for yourself.

Thank you to my new Editors Grau and Helping Hoof for their help in making this an even better book for all of you to enjoy.

She is youngest monarch to ever ascend the throne on the continent... in the youngest nation on the continent. She has been groomed to etch her name in history and with all the tools at her disposal to realize her noble goals: A roaring economy, an eager population, and a nascent, rising empire. She would lead Alemaneia into an era of prosperity and prestige.

Her proponents (who feel she would bring young, modern blood to the nobility) and her skeptics (who feel she is far too young and cannot possibly have the ability to stand up to their regional rivals) both look upon her career with immense interest.

Perhaps everypony, in some way, would be right about her. And perhaps everypony, in some way, would be wrong about her.

So very, very wrong.

A six-part story of an unprecedented rise, and a spiraling, tragic fall of Regenfall IV.
