    Non-Pone works

I updated a non-pone story today. One about an Earth zoologist who finds himself in the world of pokemon. Leaving it here in case any of you want to read it on your preferred site. For anyone who hasn't read it before, start from the beginning or be confused.

    It's true what they say

    The ride really never ends.

While I left away from pone to writing other things, an original work amongst them, I guess Mr. Bones has dragged me in for another wild ride. I started writing for /mlp/ again, and I guess thats that.

Bowing out for real · 8:12am Oct 25th, 2022

Heya.

While I've been on The Ride for nearly ten years at this point, I think it's time I bowed out for real this time. I've tried to come back to pone over and over, forcing myself to produce something, anything and it's not happening. This isn't a money thing with my patreon, either. Despite having a ton of free time now, I just cannot muster the passion to write something worthwhile for you all anymore no matter how hard I try. Game of Pones and Junior was me trying to grasp that magical fountain of inspiration that MLP was a decade ago one last time, and you all see how well that went. I quit once a few years ago as life got in the way, but now I'm just tapped and there's nothing left.

I'm not going to draw this out any further. I'll be marking my stories as canceled, and if anyone wants to take them over, they're yours. No permission needed.

Reluctantly,
Fuggmann.

I feel you about the magic MLP used to make me feel. I became in between season 3 and 4 and i remember a magical feeling it used to give me that I just don’t get anymore. I still get other good feeling when a good fanfic comes out but I still miss the feeling of discovering and getting into MLP for the first time. Sometimes I still get that feeling while dreaming. The best I can describe it is being actually excited to go out and explore a new world which managed to catch your interest by being unique. Before you leave for good though can you re-enable comments and likes on “Going bump in the night”? I remember that story was very popular back in the day and wouldn’t be surprised if it spurs discussion long after you left.

Been fun while it lasted. Good luck out there and may you find something else that will bring you joy and happiness.

Sorry to hear that. Best of luck with your future endeavors!
:)

Thanks for the horsewords over the years. Have a good one.

I'll miss you, man. Would you consider resubmitting all your older stories you hid a few years ago?

We all grow older and loose interest in things. FiM seems to be on its way out for good. The glory days over. Still, ten years is a good run for a show and its fandom. I'm glad you aren't trying to force yourself to write anything, that'd likely burn you out on writing period, but I'm still sad another one of the guys that made interested in this fandom is bowing out.

It was a fun ride reading your stuff Fugg, hopefully you'll continue producing works like your Pokemon stuff elsewhere. Cheers and thanks for the content.

Thank you, really.

Thank you for the thrill and the expectention of what would come next. I wish you the best and good luck on your other projects.

Well... Fugg.

I admit this saddens me immensely, don't know what to say besides thanks for what you have done so far.

Maybe someone will turn up and and write as well as you one day or you could remain as one in a million.

It's always heartbreaking to see a creator go, but what can you do?

Maybe I'm being petty, but I blame the later season writers for dampening the passion of fan creators.

Will you keep this account open as a means of communication?

Edit: I also blame current life in general, so much unnecessary drama killing motivation for anything nowadays.

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Thanks for staying on the ride for so long man.
See you on Spacebattles.

You did good my friend. Thanks for the stories and memories. Fair well.

Sad to hear, but understandable. It shows that there is a different type of passion in you fanfics from other sites. I especially love both Borne of Caution and Borne of Desire on fanfiction.net, easily the best two Pokemon fanfics I’ve ever read. Always wanted an isekai-fic in the Pokemon world, and I got two extremely well-written ones from the same author. Stay awesome man!

Damn, dude. Hell, we all know how it goes by this point. But thanks for sticking around. Seriously. Wouldn’t be the same without you.

And hey, the ride never really ends. Don’t forget to check in.

Well, goodbye. Thanks and Godspeed. o7

It was a hell of a ride, friend. I don't regret a single moment of it. All I can say is thank you for all the good memories you gave me.

Loving your Borne of Caution, by the way.

Good luck on the rest on your life man. May the Force be with you, always.
