Taking a break from writing Pony.

I honestly can't believe I'm about to write this.

It has been over a year since I published "Dear Sunny Starscout", and two months since I published the latest chapter for Sprout's Sentence. Since then, my FimFiction account has been a barren wasteland in terms of new content. You wanna know why? It's three words: lack of passion.

In my opinion, I feel like I lost passion for writing G5 because after A New Generation, in terms of quality, G5 is really bad. There might be some gems here and there like "Portrait of a Princess", "The Game is Ahoof", or "Starscout Code", but most of G5 in my opinion has been nothing more than bland, generic, unfunny kid distractor.

The stories are bland, the characters (with the exception of Zipp) have been flanderized and became caricatures of their former selves, almost none of the jokes made me laugh, and the lore connections are so dumb, contrived, and a giant insult to what G4 stood for.

Am I gonna cancel Sprout's Sentence and some other potential stories in the future? No. While most of G5 is bad, some of those gems in the rough I mentioned earlier were enough to make me give this generation one more chance to prove itself. Until I get my creative spark for the franchise back, I will simply put Sprout's Sentence on hiatus and let it undergo a major rewrite once I got my creative spark back.
