New Art & A Spooky Plan of Action! · 8:59pm Oct 18th, 2022
It's October, the spooky month, and that makes this an excellent month to release the starting chapters of a new mystery story! The Princess in the Coffee Shop has a new cover image by Helmie waiting for a coordinated release along with the launch of the story. It was really cool getting to commission him, and I'm really excited for you all to see what we've made here! I also commissioned additional supporting images from other artists which I would love to share, either as surprise chapter art throughout ( if that's allowed on this site! ) or as additional side content on social media. I have high hopes for this one! The hope is to release with as many as three significant chapters ready to read, but I'll settle for fewer if it comes down to a time crunch. I really want to get this out before Halloween!
As for my other stories, I commissioned some artwork from Inari Mayer related to the Victory universe that I might just use as cover art for both Victory: Premonitions and the upcoming Victory: Rising. The two are sister images that would more prominently showcase how the two stories are interconnected as prequels. That means the old and unfinished cover art that I hastily drew for Premonitions may soon be retired! While this might mess with the story's presentation in the reward post for the original contest it was created for, I think that the change will definitely be worth it. If you don't mind spoilers for Rising, you can see one of these works in Inari's gallery right here! Let me know if you do!
Progress is also continuing on the new big Fallout Equestria story. One of the main cast has had their visual design completely finalized, with the rest of the cast progressing nicely. I attended a talk from the author of Fallout Equestria: Dead Tree at Harmony Con earlier this year, in which Fiaura discussed what makes a FoE side story worthy of being considered one of the bigger ones. Fiaura made a point to call out the side story's cast of characters. Specifically their designs, among other requirements, need to be striking. so I've taken this advice to heart and have been putting a huge amount of effort into making sure I get this cast designed exactly right. So far, I'm immensely happy with how they all look! They're all designs I'm already immensely proud of! I can't wait to share them with you!
That's it for now. Hopefully you all like the new art and are excited for the coming releases!
I know I am!
