Story Teaser · 11:12am Oct 3rd, 2022
Greetings, all!
At the time of this blog, the spooky month is upon us once again. In honor of my favorite holiday, (And because why not?) I will be letting loose another creation from this rattling junk pile I call a mind (Need to make room for my brain cells to play pong, after all)
Now, this won't be any of the stories I said I was working on in my last update. I am still working on those, but during one of my bouts of writing something new to get the creative juices flowing, I ended up making a complete workable skeleton (Get it? Because Halloween) of a whole new story. And since this story is relatively short compared to my usual fare, I've decided to go full steam ahead on finishing and posting it.
I plan to post the first chapter on Halloween, and then at least one chapter every two weeks or less after that. Why the long wait between chapters? Well, simply put, this is the first story I will be posting before it is actually *done*. Usually, I only start posting a story once I've finished it completely and done all the proofreading and editing I see fit. This time, I will start the posting process before I've actually written every chapter.
I only do this because I am confident that I can get it done on time. I hate when people leave stories unfinished for months or years on end, hence my usual posting method. I may not have a lot of fans, but those I do have I would rather not suffer the disappointment of an unfinished story.
Of course, there is every chance that I get writer's block between now and then and I end up having to break my posting schedule, in which case, I apologize in advance. However, I already know the plot in my head, and as I said earlier, it will be relatively short, so hooves crossed that I can pull through
In the meantime, have a teaser image of the cover:
Savvy viewers will be able to discern the subject matter of the story from just that pic. Everyone else will just have to wait and see. I would tease the title, but that would spoil it even more
On top of getting actual commissioned art for this mini project (seriously, the full piece looks amazing) I am also working with a new proofreader who will hopefully be able to whip me into shape. I still have a lot to learn about writing, but thus far, I think I've made a stark improvement from when I wrote Blood Moon. I guess we'll have to find out if I've actually improved, or if my brain cells ponged the wrong way and I just think I've improved.
Anyhow, thanks for reading, and thanks for taking an interest in my works. Happy Halloween!
