Life. Death. Rebirth begins again. The Multiverse is an untamed, unapparelled power in the fabric of creation. When one universe ends, another begins. When a universe branches off, another is born. The cycle is unceasing, chaotic—certainly—but despite it, all are kept together in a fragile web of balance.
But the saddening reality of balance… is that it must always fall out of place. Such is the way of creation. Such is how our heroes make one single decision that would change their fates and create a new universe, a new story, in one moment.
When the Avengers succeeded in stopping Ultron at the Battle of Sokovia, their choice diverted from the story you might know. That choice led them to a distant world free of the evils of your Earth, to a species who knew no war in their hearts. Yes, the magical land of ponies, Equestria, and all the nations on the planet Equus met our heroes that fateful day… and would have no choice but to join forces against the evil known as Ultron.
But that wasn’t the end. The war was won, and the rebuilding had only just begun. Twilight and her closest friends made the greatest leap anypony had ever made and traveled to Earth, joining the Avengers in a desperate move for peace between worlds. It always breaks my heart to know what had to come next—for as the way of the Multiverse, while some stories take different paths… this one followed one you might know. The Avengers split apart, a civil war was waged between friends and allies, and everypony returned home broken and beaten but still held onto hope for a better tomorrow.
But that tomorrow never came. That better day never arrived. Only destiny. Only the terrible evil we know… as Thanos.
Two worlds—bonds fractured—stood no chance against Thanos and his dark forces when he came hunting for the Infinity Stones. Our heroes fought their hearts out, but their hearts—despite it all—were not in the right place. That was why they lost. That was why Thanos won. And when the moment finally came for them to reforge those bonds, that was something Thanos could not allow. One final act of resilience from the universe. One final act from a wrathful Titan. One final sacrifice to save an entire universe from destruction.

This is awesome! I really love What If...? and am excited for the second season, and the idea that this trilogy is being viewed by The Watcher is a fun idea.
