Heyo Griblies and Goblins, It's ya boi, Stringbean Simulator 5001!
So some people might've noticed the rapid fire release of chapters for some of my other stories. Let it be known I am not doing this due to an excess of free time. In fact, I have a very, very fun surprise in store in the coming weeks! And no, before you ask, it is NOT arson related... That'll be saved for Christmas time. Anyway, read on if you want, skip if you don't. You're an adult, I can't stop you.
It's actually a bit of an experimental series I wanna try. There were some other things I wanted to do, like continuing the Sammakött Series (name pending), or actually writing a new chapter for the Twilight Province, but both would be a significant time investment. I've learned from my mistakes of the past, and as such, I would prefer to do a bit of an outline for both before I actually get to writing, y'know? I don't want the other stories to end up as much of a dumpster fire as IRTS, but to do so, I would need to commit a significant portion of my free time into doing so. That's a luxury I don't have anymore.
Alternatively, I've been working hard on trying to finish my shorter stories. Abstract Love's all done, and the Strands of Time is next. After that, I'll either try and finish Zecora and the Parasite, or just get to work on my project.
I won't spoil what it is yet, (mostly because I doubt anyone cares either way, so it'd be better to release it once I actually start work on it) but I will say that it's going to be a little experimental, it will be a series of stories, and all of them will revolve around music! I'm so excited to work on it that I've actually been inspired to finish my other works. Who'da thought the thing I needed to finish my stories was another story!
However, this comes with a bit of a setback. In my time both in college and on this site, I've learned a very important detail. Networking is EVERYTHING when it comes to getting recognition. The only reason IRTS got as many views as it did was because it has like fifty fuckin' chapters and was on the website's front page almost every day for three months straight. My other stories have yet to be as lucky. And of course I'd love to join a bunch of groups and talk to people, but... y'know...
Maybe I'll try and actually talk to people for once, but who knows, anxiety can get you pretty far in terms of reclusiveness.
Either way, Once I finish the Strands of Time, I'll be working almost exclusively on the new series, so if you don't like that, feel free to send a message to my complaints department.
His name is Rocco, and he is my son. Please be nice to him.
Anyway, that's it for today, now SCRAM!
IRTS was a dumpster fire? It has an 18:1 L:DL ratio... that is like a 94% rating. What the hell is a success to you? 95? Well, i suppose that IS how obsidian went down with Fallout NV... I jest.
Social Anxiety? I know that one.
Hello Rocco!
Have a goood daaayyy

Personally, I think that the first half of IRTS ended up kind of inconsistent, and the last half ended up rushed and nonsensical. I definitely appreciate that people enjoy it, and I don't want to be like "OH YOU SHOULDN'T ENJOY IT BECAUSE I THINK IT'S BAD", but it definitely has a few glaring flaws that makes me go whenever I look at it. It definitely could've used a rough draft or outline beforehand, or at least some proofreading. Maybe I'm too hard on myself, but if people enjoy it, than I'm at least a little happy with how it turned out.
Also thank you for the kind words to my son as well!
