I did not go to EFNW. · 12:00am Aug 30th, 2022
And now that I'm seeing little snippets people are posting about it, I kind of wish I did? Which is funny, as I'd completely forgotten EFNW was even going on until folks started mentioning it. Nice to see it's still a thing, at least? And is it still the most "writerly" of the brony conventions? As to be honest, I'm slightly less inclined to look into pony-centric conventions nowadays, given that Bronycon 2019 was ... kind of a clusterfuck, and also because The Fandom Is Dead(tm). Or, well, not really, it's just that I haven't written anything of consequence in several months and so I shall go by the wayside and be forgotten. Or something.
Though on the more positive side of things, I'm actually going to A Con (just not a Pony Con) over Labor Day weekend. Woo! And going to said con involves a fair amount of travel so I may actually try to pass the time by writing something? Maybe even ... pony something? I make no promises. I may just pound a bunch of those tiny airplane liquor bottles and play Stardew Valley on my laptop instead. So we'll see!
But yeah. If you went to EFNW, bring me detailed chronicles of your convention exploits so I may gain some degree of vicarious enjoyment from your adventures! Or just talk about other rad stuff you're doing. I assume you're doing rad things, yes? As at least if you're following me that implies you have impeccable taste which means you should be out and about doing your own adventures, EFNW or otherwise.
Everfree was great, and still has a very strong writer focus. Little to none of the legacy of Linecon,
Are you OK, man?

Well enough! Just a little jealous of folks having fun, and a bit burnt out from work. But vacation this week should fix that.
