So G5 is not a future timeline but an alternate one?

G5 would make a lot more sense if it was an alternate timeline. There's just too many inconsistencies between them for G5 to be the same world or universe as G4, just a few hundred years in the future. (At least, not without a lot of handwaving and deus ex machina-ing.)

An alternate future timeline or a furure alternate timeline? Where their history was inflinece by Mark and the main six during one of his extradimentional jaunts. He's been to enough places by now.
