I hate my cheap-ass laptop · 10:25pm Aug 15th, 2022
Ive been using the same $200, Best Buy laptop for my work for the past 3 years. As for the past couple months, it's been consistently crapping out and restarting before i could get any work done. Just today, it's restarted FIVE times, and I've only written 200 words. By this point, I'd make more progress using my phone.
Sorry for this rant, I'm just getting pissed because I REALLY can't afford a new laptop. Especially with a credit card bill AND my boyfriend's birthday next week. Just be patient while I try to get everything in check. Fuck...

Sorry to hear about the laptop crap (craptop) you’re dealing with.
Personally, I’ve always found it easy to write on my phone, with the Google Docs app being handy, but it could be just because I’ve been doing it ever since I joined the site.

Given how tiny the phone's keys are, my sausage fingers constantly misspell and mix up letters. It's like that scene in Fantastic Four (the Jessica Alba version) when Michael Chiclis' Thing tried to use a payphone and call his wife. Really frustrating.

Sounds like it might be over heating. To get your model in windows hit start (windows logo) then type system information and open that app and on the right side it will list your model and sku. Also to see your Temps you can download hwinfo64 and open only the sensors section to see if it is actually a heat issue. Can easily swap the keyboard size, and if you can't get another keyboard like gboard or SwiftKey and you most certinally can. Android can use whatever keyboard you want. Also could pair a bt keyboard to your phone for long sessions. Or depending on the phone even a wired one as long as it doesn't have high power draw. Just a thought.
To the author - Omg dude i can relate but only to some extent well they're mostly xmas gifts from my mom & were always Dell (worst brand company Ever for laptops😤 DON'T RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL!!!) for laptops get either a Samsung or Acer as someone told me (those last for 3 years or so) but depends on how much you're willing to spend for it.
