    BABSCon 2024

Hi y'all, sorry I've been dead on this site for a while, but for any of those who are still out there...I will once again be at BABSCon 2024 in Burlingame, CA, from Mar 29 to 31!

And I'll likely be in my Twilight or Opaline cosplay. Hope to see y'all there!

I'm alive--come to my panel at Everfree Northwest 2022 · 12:55am Aug 7th, 2022

Heyo, I know it's been a while but I promise I'm alive and well :yay:

Come meet me at Everfree Northwest 2022! I will be running a (brand-new) writing workshop panel at EFNW! Add to your schedule or Pinkamena will get you <3 ~~! :pinkiecrazy:

How To Redeem Your Villain
Fri, Aug 26 12:45pm-1:45pm

Ever wished you could give that pony villain the backstory they rightfully deserve? If you love writing villains, or want to learn what makes a villain "the bad guy", this hands-on MLP writing workshop is for you! No writing experience needed. Stationery is provided, but feel free to bring your own.

I had a blast last year at EFNW; it's a beautiful convention hall and great location (right next to Microsoft HQ, so super boujee) I also can't believe how many special guests are going to be attending this year!! Andrea Libman, Kelly Sheridan, Imalou, and much much more!

TBH though, I haven't been very active in the brony fandom since June...:ajsleepy: I've been busy at work, as well as venturing into other fandoms--most recently, I got *hooked* on this manga called Senpai wa Otokonoko about a crossdressing high school boy named Makoto. It's super sweet while also diving into some serious LGBT issues, and I can't understand for the life of me why it's not that popular outside of Japan. Would highly recommend to any trans people who read manga, or crossdressing enthusiasts.

aww this makes me wish i could attend!

Wish I could attend - sadly, not only is this con on the other side of the country for me, I don't quite have the funds (or the lack of anxiety lol) to attend. Maybe sometime in the future...

Either way, I hope you have fun!

For last year's EFNW, I flew from upstate New York, I understand it is pretty pricey. But I honestly think in the post-BronyCon era, Everfree is now the biggest brony convention in the world (perhaps due to its proximity to Vancouver).

You ever been to a brony convention before? You mentioned anxiety.

Never been to a con, any con, ever. I joined the fandom when I was in high school, so height of... let's say, 2015? Didn't have a means of going to any near me (also there weren't any near me). Of course, I was also a kid, and didn't want my parents to know I liked ponies (got over that quickly, but also, I didn't want to make them feel like they had to come with me to these cons - especially since real life was already a busy mess of things).

I hope one day I can go. Now that I'm out of college and getting a job, I at least have the start of a means. But with COVID happening and my general inexperience with travel, it's still a bit of an anxious point for me.

My first con ever was BronyCon in 2019. It was one of the major events in my life that helped me reduce my social anxiety. It was my first time travelling for fun on my own and I had to force myself to talk to other people.

Holy fucking shit I had 100% completely forgotten about ever free Northwest until this post thank you so so so so so much

Not to be sycophantic or anything but meeting you in person at a con is definitely on my pony bucket list if it's possible and then writing a silly collab together probably involving ponies being gay or something

Also speaking of I'm Alive, just saw the stage musical version of Xanadu at Laguna Beach playhouse and that's the opening track, and I love it.
