State of the Autobots in the 'Hasbroverse' · 5:08pm Dec 12th, 2012

As with before go to the Transformers wiki for specific names. Also, this will be a lot shorter.

Simply put, the Autobots are experiencing a Golden Age. Cybertron is in stable orbit around Wolf 359. Thanks to Vector Sigma and other methods of creating Sparks, the population is booming. Colony worlds have been founded, with actual civilians!

Optimus Prime is in the middle of setting up a new Council. So far the members are him, Elita One, Ultra Magnus and Jazz. Ties with Earth and other species have massively aided the Autobots in rebuilding their civilization.

Not having to deal with a megalomaniac that has a name that starts with M and ends with N probably helps as well.

And I'm guess the Great Upgrade is centuries away

:rainbowlaugh:

I see what you did there with Wolf 359!

602533 At the time Elements of Harmony & the Saviour of worlds stars it begins with a G and ends with an N

602988
Beast Wars and Beast Machines are part of G1, always have been.

603022
The way I see it, The Maximals ARE the native colonists in question.

...hopefully, causality drift will keep Starscream from having his Spark sent into the past this time. And keep Predicon Megatron from taking over when Primal drags his purple chassis back out of Earth's past. Primus knows the Beast Machines story arc was weak. I mean, turning Silverbolt into a Condor? Gag me.

603929
Well I suppose starting the colonies with the smaller bodies would be a good idea, less energon to use and they can use organic sources of energy as well.

With Starscream it might depend on how long did he stay dead, and BW Megs... it would be dragging his red chassis to Cybertron... and that could be considered a pun given him beast form. And according to the TFwiki Primus did know and had a hand in the Great Reformatting

604016
:pinkiecrazy: Oh, HERE is an evil idea... Given how Wibbly Wobbly the TF Timey Whimey is, Starscream could have been sent to the past, and returned, before the first Predicons ever came online! Or Protoform X, for that matter. And if he had returned to the current era the long way around, it would explain both his increased competence, and his improved humility.

...and for the love of Nexus Prime, PLEASE keep Silverbolt a Lupusgryph. :fluttercry:

604260
Pretty much that is what I was thinking, though less brain melting. Or he switch places with his TF:Prime counterpart who is actually considered one of the most competent Starscreams so far. With the TransTech story line either one could work within TF canon

So no pulling his spark out through his nose and making him a psychotic jet plane?

604290
Brain melting? Well, I guess having to watch one's younger self make all the boneheaded mistakes he didn't remember being THAT boneheaded at the time, would qualify. I simply meant it as wisdom gained from a second lifetime's worth of experience. ...even if said second lifetime was mostly spent in a prolonged out of chassis experience, punctuated with the occasional body stealing.

And on the subject of TF:P, I have just finished Season 1, so I agree with that version of Starscream as being the smartest of the bunch. ...but at the same time, is it just me or does he get even less respect than the G1 Silver Snake himself?

*Edit* Missed something.
604290

So no pulling his spark out through his nose and making him a psychotic jet plane?

Um, I'm rather sure it doesn't work like that. Although I've seen a fanwork I'm quite fond of set post-Great Reformat, wherein one of the Drones based off of Silverbolt's evil side (I can't remember his name) becomes self-aware and starts an anti-Reformatting movement containing `Bots, `Cons, `Preds, and Maximals who would rather keep their original tech bodies, thank you very much.

Wolf 359? Better watch out, the Minbari advance will be steamrolling through there in about two hundred and fifty years...

And if anyone gets that, I will love you.

605704
Well, I don't get the reference, but I do know the reference in question comes out of Babylon 5. Is that good enough? :trixieshiftright:

605794

On one hand, yes.

On the other hand, I screwed up. I meant the Borg... whoops.

602533 If it ever happens in the Hasbroverse. :raritywink:

602608 It's a bit of coincidence, actually. I looked up stars close to Earth, saw it and my mind went there... :pinkiecrazy:

603022 Yes, but never specified which G1, if either of them. Details from the series contradict both the cartoon and comic. It seemed Dreamwave was trying to establish itself as the Beast Era 'prequel' before it went under.

603929 Might not even happen here... And the colonists are Autobots. Maybe some of them are smaller, but not all of them.

Okay, long story short? Beast Wars is probably not set in stone as the future of the Hasbroverse.

609048
It could, who knows what magic would effect on Cybertron. I tend to follow the cartoon canon since that's the one I am most familiar with, and having truly grown up watching Beast Wars and remembering a lot of parts of G1 thrown into it, both are connected no matter the contradictions. Caulk it up to there being a nearly ten year gap between the two.

609063 Oh, the vast majority of the Hasbroverse is cartoon-based, no doubt. And I love Beast Wars too. I'd just prefer the Hasbroverse Cybertron to not forbid travel to Earth like in Beast Wars, nor do I want... Beast Machines as the future. I won't lie. I did not like Beast Machines.:pinkiesick:

609357
Well think of the rise of the new factions being far enough in the future that it doesn't matter, as long as G1 Megs burns a message on the Golden Disc you're fine (as long as the Klingons don't blow the probe up first). Maybe the forbid travel after the new factions came around.

609366 Well, elements of the Beast Era certainly can happen, like Megatron carving the message into the Voyager Probe. But definitely no Beast Machines. :flutterrage:

609538

But definitely no Beast Machines. :flutterrage:

:pinkiehappy:

So I am guessing that Hot Rod and some of the others from the movie are currently stationed at Cybertron?

Glad to know that Elita One (or Elita-1 in my headcanon) is still alive.

Even though she and Optimus are busy rebuilding and leading Cybertron, this is probably the most time they've ever spent together without fighting the Decepticons.

A Cybertron with civilians, reminds me of the Animated version of Cybertron, without the corruption and propaganda.
