The day your ancestors fought against my ancestors^* for your nation to be independent from the once-great British Empire was the most important day in your country's history.

Actually, I don't even know if it was on a Tuesday. In fact, it's not even Tuesday today (though it is gonna be Tuesday tomorrow). I just wanted an excuse to use this meme.

* This is just generalization based on our respective nations. For all I know, none of my ancestors ever fought a war in their life.

True dat. I'm pretty sure even India has its own Independence Day.

And I'm not just talking about a Bollywood remake^* of that movie with the aliens.

* I actually don't know if there is a Bollywood version of Independence Day but I wouldn't be surprised if it exists.
