Another major birthday · 6:35pm Jul 4th, 2022
Today is a special birthday the oldest birthday in the world, she has been with us giving us our freedom, our rights, and protecting us. I’m talking about America, today is her birthday and I hope you all will celibrate her life with blowing stuff up, having a bbq or fire pit enjoying with family and friends. Happy Fourth of July to you all and your families!!!
Just a random redcoat passing through and pointing out congress officially declared itself seceded from the crown on July 2nd, and July 4th was just the day a draft announcement of the declaration of such was signed in congress. This declaration itself was only read to the wider public for the first time on July 8th. The final version of this declaration would not be signed by the rest of the continental congress in Philadelphia until August 2nd. And the Treaty of Paris wherein Great Britain officially recognised the until then colonies in rebellion against the crown, as an independent state, thus ending the war, wasn't signed until September 3rd 1783.
So technically, you rebels are either celebrating a couple days late, or a good month or two early.
