Zinc currently sat on a bench in the park, next to her is her father Griff. Earlier they were jogging but Zinc's sides started to hurt a bit so they decided to take a break, Griff brought a snack to share with his daughter: Ramirez's homemade tamales.
"Man, Mom can sure as hell cook!" Zinc said happily as she chowed down the Tamale
"Of course, she can make a mean tamale. And watch your language young lady," Griff said, finishing up his.
"Hey Dad, how long are you going to stay before you leave again?" Zinc asked, sharing a father between 2 families was tough but they made it work out in the end "And when will you come back?"
"Hmmmm...I dont know actually, but what I do know is that I'll be back before you know it. I promise" He then starts messing with her mane, causing the teenage alicorn to giggle.
"Dad, stop it! you're gonna mess up my mane!"
"Alright Alright, if you say so" Griff then pulls his hoof away, letting her try and fix her now messy mane.
"I got a question: what was I like when I was a filly?"
"Chaotic, seriously, you were always hungry for meat and even then it wouldn't satisfy your hunger. You were also biting random stuff and trying to fight your brother which was funny to watch sometimes" Griff said as he let out a chuckle, remembering how Zinc was when she was little "You probably got that from me"
"Really? I'm surprised I'm not even a bit fat"
"Mhm" Griff took out his phone and checked the time "Well, looks like we gotta head home before it gets dark. Ramirez is probably getting dinner ready and your brother should be home already"
Griff hopped off the bench followed by his daughter, they both then made their way out of the park and towards the car. The sun was already beginning to set as the lamp posts in the park start to turn on.
As they drove off, Zinc looked over at her father with a smile. She was looking forward to his next visit so that they could hang out, just the two of them, father and daughter.
