    Updates and Such

Well, as a thunderstorm rolls overhead (and hopefully doesn't knock power out), I thought I'd offer some updates on what I've been up to.

Long story short, I'm pretty much in gaming overload at the moment.

    Horizon: Forbidden West (PC Version)

    Well, color me impressed.

All 78 episodes on 2 discs, the translation is just as solid as the Hulu version, the subtitles are on by default, and they even translated the mid-episode character cards.

Rant: The Halo TV series is lower than fan fiction. · 6:37pm May 14th, 2022

And I say that as someone who has been creating fan fiction for 15 years.

No matter what IP I work with, I'm proud when readers say that my work remains largely within the confines of an established character's mannerisms, behavior, and personality. On the very rare occasion which I don't (Letters) it is because the out-of-character behavior is the primary driving force in a comedic effort.

If I "go in my own direction" I do so with the plot, and not with the characters that others have created.

I don't attempt to "appeal to a broader audience", which largely consists of vapid peons that know nothing of what attracted the core audiences to franchises in the first place.

Screw the broader audience.

I'm more than a bit mildly annoyed that people get paid to write this drivel and treat established characters however they like, when countless fan authors are far more respectful of the source material for free.

I'm glad I never gave this show a chance. It's not worth my time, or the time of any self-respecting Halo fan.

i couldn’t make it thur the first 15mins of episode one it made me mad, would rather watch halo legends, at least some of that respected the lore or ip

prototype is my fav

This is what happen when you focus on diversity hires instead of looking for talented storytellers to hire. You get people who don't have a damn clue how to tell a good story, and whose only experience with writing is primarily self-insert drivel because they're in love with themselves. They think the world revolves around them and they need to see themselves in everything they do, even if they're not the target audience.

We're looking at you Kathleen Kennedy...

It's no wonder Netflix is being forced to knuckle down and tell these idiots they can either leave or be fired. The recession is forcing them to choose either politics or money, and so far it looks like Netflix is choosing money.

I found 90% of Halo Legends vastly entertaining. Sacred Icon 2 is a sweet banger of a piece of music.

Kathleen Kennedy, the division of Bioware that made Mass Effect Andromeda...

Like damn people, I'm for diversity as long as talent is considered before that.

ahh yes the tv show i was hyped to watch but then quickly got spoiled about one, simple thing, and immediately hated the show for it, say it with me now

CHEIF's HELMET STAYS ON!

edit: or at the very least if you have to take the helmet off, then dont let us see the face just give us a shoulder cam like view

You got that right!!!

Oh, you think that's bad.

Then it was "CHIEF'S ASS!"

Now this week it's "CHIEF HAS SEX!"

I am absolutely not kidding.

Well you would hope Chief managed to get laid at least once in a while. But that doesn't mean we want to see it happening.

The only and I mean only reason I will continue to watch is to see the flood.

Heck you'd think they'd actually hire fanfic writers to make these things. Some of the best stuff in the Sonic comics happened after Ian Flynn took over.
