My dad once posed a riddle to me. You and your family wash up on an island. You're the first to wake up. You decide to go to try and find food because you know everyone is going to be hungry when they wake up, and after some looking, you find some food.
Do you eat first or start taking the food back to the shore?
You sit your ass down and you eat. What good does it do you if you collapse while travelling back? You need to take care of yourself first before trying to take care of others. And even if it means others helping you along the way, you still can do this. You must take care of yourself. You can't fill up others' buckets if your own is empty. Keep being yourself.
YOU DON'T OWE ANYONE ANYTHING. Those people that are trying to help you are genuinely trying to help you so that you feel better, not because they want something back in return. If they are, then that's just wrong. They all love you. So much. They take time out of their day WILLINGLY to help YOU. Please don't feel bad for them. They are all trying to help you. And it's okay if you keep things to yourself. They don't mind. If you really want to talk about it, they'll all listen. They're there for you, honey. Never think you're a burden or a bad person.
And even if you don't have others who are there for you.. I LOVE YOU. No matter who you are. No matter what you've done or what you've gone through or what you've said, I love YOU for being, well, YOU!!
