Ooh, the Def Leppard story is a lot less MLP. There was a mythical friendship there, between the two guitarists, who were known to work incredibly well together and compliment each other as opposites in all the right ways, being from completely different backgrounds. They really went for it off-stage, too. But then one got clean and went vegetarian, and the other died of alcoholism. That was in 1991 - the band have never broken up and are still recording and touring, but they haven't had a hit record since.
