Question of the Week #51 · 12:43pm Apr 6th, 2022

Hello, everyone. I'm sorry that I forgot to write last weeks Question of the Week. Last week was a bit crazy and then this week we had a bad windstorm that actually brought down a tree that destroyed our well house (so we have no water) and took out the powerline into our house (so we had no power), so things have been a bit crazy.

Well, my brains a bit achy so I guess this week the question is...

Which of these scifi series are your favorite: Star Wars, Star Trek or... Star Gate?

Thank you all for reading this, have a wonderful day.

Star Wars is the only one I've really watched much of. That's not really much of a recommendation, though, seeing as the others probably caught my interest more.

Star Trek for me, if for no other reason than the original shows hold up so we’ll today…well, at least the first two seasons do.

Curiously, I picked up a bunch of DVD seasons of Star Gate and Babylon 5 this weekend at a garage sale. LMK if anyone wants them at a big discount.

Star trek. I grew up on it, it was my dad's childhood show and therefore became mine. I've watched all the series and movies, and am still finding out new trivia about the universe. It's so rich and well thought out, I love it.

But Stargate is my favorite movie because I'm a huge nerd for Egyptian mythology, and I think it's just a neat concept that the gods are in fact aliens. Really cool shit.

Finally, mass effect is my favorite video game series because it takes what's great about Star Trek and applies it to its own lore. Good shit. Really good shit.

No water and no power... that’s not a good combination.

Star Wars episode 1 was my first experience with any of this. I thought it was awesome. I never really got into Star Trek but I did get into The Orville, and that led me into Lower Decks and that’s about as deep as I’ve gone there. There’s just so much content there.
