Deleting account (not FimFiction), and plans for the rest of the year-ish. · 3:06pm Apr 4th, 2022
Okay, big clickbait title. I'm deleting some online accounts, but not the FimFiction one. Suffice it to say I've been active in the furry fandom for a while, but don't consider myself a member, same as I do the brony community. I need a fresh profile, and that means tearing down the old one.
Now, why bring this up here? Because it ties in to the next big announcement, or repeat thereof, I should say: I'm moving my attention away from MLP-related writing for a while. I have some things I want to get done, not pony-related and not even writing-related, and I want to see if I can actually get them done before I kick my oxygen addiction. That's the long and short of it. I don't have an ETA on anything, I've only made semi-permanent plans, but I have a decent idea of what's feasible. I don't know if I can do what I want, but I'd like to find out. So wish me luck in that, guys.
But the reason y'all are really here: pony fics. What do, what gives? I think first I need to start reading ponyfic again, because I haven't really done so in years. Second, I'm a little out at the moment. I'm out of motivation to write ponyfic, I'm sort of out of ideas, too. People I considered my audience, if they ever even had large numbers in the first place, moved on a long time ago. More importantly, looking at the themes and messages I can still really explore within this canon, I'm going to either repeat myself or force myself into something I don't want to do.
At the earliest, pony will resume in late September. More than likely it'll be a oneshot first to get back into the swing of things, then some of the ideas mentioned in earlier blogs. Comments and such will likely still be disabled on new stories, unless someone can provide a rational argument that they're to my benefit. In the meantime, I'm going to be working on other things, you will not see those on here. I'm still debating if I'll drop my DeviantArt account, too. I'll still pop in to read the blogs of the usual suspects (you know who you are), I'll try to get a dent in my Read Later list (did you know pigs are surprisingly aerodynamic, especially those of Guinea?), and I'll probably do a few blogs here and there on random thoughts, depending on what's going on. But I have no immediate plans to write anything pony-related. I'm pretty sure I did everything I outright promised, even if I didn't get around to doing everything I said I might do. I hate leaving things unfinished or going back on my word, you see, and I've got a couple of such things that I can't combine with ponefic, not now.
On top of all that, I'm starved for good media. There's a long list of anime I want to watch, big procrastination hurdles stopping me from watching, and practical difficulties. But, well, the practical stuff has its own solution, I suppose.

If you want any ponyfic recommendations, I'm game. There's plenty of stuff that I've read around here, though I bet FanOfMostEverything has probably read a great deal himself. Give him a holler if you feel like it; his insight could prove useful.
