You know what they say about the best laid plans? I'll be real brief with this update, for reasons that will be self-evident.

Another month, albeit the shortest of the year. I still haven't had a chance to get into the process side of my writing and write that detailed plan for the year, been too busy writing a novel. Guess that's a good problem to have.

This is exactly the 71st month I've posted a patreon calendar. Almost but not quite six years of writing fanfic, sharing all these ideas with you that would otherwise stay trapped in my head. I couldn't begin this post, and the beginning of a new year without expressing my profound thanks to everyone who keeps supporting me. New Story: Don't Bug Me · 7:16pm Mar 22nd, 2022

Hey everyone, I've got an awesome story lined up for you here! Took a little bit to get the cover made, but hopefully you feel that this was worth the wait. Check it out: https://www.fimfiction.net/story/513304/dont-bug-me

This story sprung from a simple idea: What if not having any magic of their own causes any humans who travel to Equestria to manifest there not as ponies, but changelings, forced to feed on others in order to sustain themselves? What if groups of humans had been making their way over accidentally since the beginning of Equestrian history, and were the source of the world's changelings?

In Don't Bug Me, we will follow the latest unfortunate group to end up crossing from Earth. This won't be a lost roman legion or population of a desolate island this time--instead, an entire summer camp crosses between worlds, bringing with it a population of mostly teenagers who really just want to go home.

We'll see if they get that chance. Thanks to Canary in the Coal Mine for sponsoring this story, and Simon Makes Weirddogs! for this cover. He really did go above and beyond my expectations.
