Well hey there, long time no see?

Interesting looking back at this place after so long.

Oh! Where are my manners, yes I have been busy and survived quite a few ordeals. Mostly unscathed but on the bright side I am married now to the love of my life and I'm expecting a little boy to join us later this year.

Where I've Been, What's Going On

First thing first, I am working on releasing atleast something. I promise a thick chapter within the next month, could be sooner.

Which brings me to the main point. I just have a lot on my plate and a lot of people depend on me for many things because...

    Updates

I'll generally try to upload a chapter a week, or more. Though I'll warn you the quality may not be that consistent. I'm still a novice writer, so as always feedback is welcome and let me know how my writing has improved or worsened in comparison to previously written works. Thank you.

Interesting looking back at this place after so long.

Still doing stuff for the military, under different circumstances but for the better. My job though does keep me busy as I've gotten involved with the part of the military that actually does real things still. That's the most I can say.

Of course couldn't be a blog without mentioning the carcass of a story I left behind. I will tell you this, I went back through and read everything (including unreleased chapters). I enjoyed quite thoroughly, managed to suck myself in to my own story which was nice to see it held up. I just don't know what to do if I'm being perfectly honest. Writing fiction was something I always wanted to endeavor towards as my chosen art but it requires a certain state of mind for me. I mean unbeknownst to a lot of you, I wrote part of this story inebriated as well (not saying it was necessary but to give you an idea for the state of mind). I used to sleep deeply and practically dream (day or night) or play out stories in my head in vivid detail.

So once again, I don't know. Maybe I will find the creativity and energy in spite of the burden of the world places on me. I'm at a loss for now.

I realize its not all doom and gloom because of that, I have many interesting things going on in my life that I enjoy. Perhaps I shall resume this one day or finally decide to write just normal fiction.

Who knows.

God perhaps.

Have a blessed day. :)

Wow, what a surprise!

I thought you were genuinely dead, but I'm glad to see you are more alive than me. :rainbowlaugh:

Really enjoyed your story and, regardless whether or not you'll continue it, I wish the best for you and your new family.

Cheers! To the future! 🍻

Just glad to know your safe!

Glad to see you're doing well!

How funny. For the first time in maybe 2 or 3 years, I go to check through my list of 140+ old stories I keep an eye out on, to see if any of them have been updated. Your story was one of them. Most of the other stories I tabbed seem to either have been put on hiatus, either officially or unofficially, or the writer's account has been inaccive since ~2019. How funny, I see one of the story writers decided to come check through one of the same old stories I had, merely a few hours apart! I hope you're doing well, my dude. Always good to know that there are still some great Horse Word writers from the old days who check in once in a while. Best of luck with your new family! You deserve it!

"Ooooo-hoo-hoo. Look who knows so much! Well, it just so happens that our author friend here is only mostly dead."

Back on topic, SirEcho, it's good to see you are in a good place.

I understand completely about having a job directly or indirectly for the government that requires extreme discretion.

Because I'm fairly sure my minders don't watch me as closely anymore, I can mention that my work includes depilating live koalas with a bad attitude and taste-testing tuberculosis toxins for texture, tartness, and tannic highlights.

Good to know that you are all right.
