Cloudflare, Inc. is an American web infrastructure and website security company that provides content delivery network and DDoS mitigation services. Its services occur between a website's visitor and the Cloudflare customer's hosting provider, acting as a reverse proxy for websites.

Literally, the first thing that pops up on Google :trixieshiftright:. Now if you mean what that means technically... they're a company that uses its server to protect other websites from DDoS attacks. They're also a provider for some of the content the site uses for faster access across the globe. In the case of FimFiction I think they provide the space for story pictures (although, don't quote me on that).
