For some reason, my brain loves to think about random songs and turn them into something else. Last night was one such. And I loved the output I thought of. I turned Lullaby for a Princess into Lullaby for a Princess’s Father. It went from being about Celestia and Luna to Sunny and Argyle. Anyways, here is what I made it into-
Fate has been cruel and order unkind
How can heaven have taken you away?
The ponies are now united and strong
But one lighthouse is silent today
And into this silence I'll bring you a song
And I will your company keep
'Till your tired eyes and my lullabies
Have carried you softly to sleep
Once was a pony who yearned to bring
Everypony together one day
He told his filly the stories of old Equestria
And showed her a friendship bound way
So great were his tales, but nopony cared to listen
Which made him, among the town, an outcast
And that shadow soon befell his foal
And grew only darker as days and nights passed
Lullay dear daddy, goodnight father mine
Rest now in twilight's embrace
May this lullaby reach you in dreams
And remind you of your filly's face
Carry my magic and carry my flight
And carry my laments in kind
Daddy you've missed so much more than you know
May troubles be far from your mind
Soon did that filly grow up and started
To grow the seed her father had sown
By uniting the three tribes together in friendship
By using what all things her father had known
But there was a time she almost gave up,
Losing all hope and courage,
But then she remembered the sire's words
And went on to bring his imagined friendship bound age
Lullay dear daddy, goodnight father mine

And when I dream, I'll fly away and meet you there
