Facts about my story, Dark Diamonds

Here are some facts and concept I want to share about my main story:

Everything under the black spoiler boxes contain spoilers for the last two chapters

• The team: Starry Squad was supposed to be a lot smaller. It was supposed to consist of two canon (Trixie and Zecora or Derpy) and two OC’s (Gumdrop and Stardust) But that clearly backfired
• It was going to be a lot less miserable I wasn’t even expecting Gumdrop’s death, the chapter itself was quite hard to write
• Stardust was supposed to be the main character, but that role went to Trixie. Stardust was planned to stay with Trixie the whole time!
• Talking about Stardust, she would earn her cutiemark and choose to stay in Equestria due to her being treated better there than back home!
• Stardust was supposed to hate ponies at the start and overtime start to trust them and learn to accept them, (She was also going to attack Trixie like one, but unfortunately I couldn’t really get it to fit in)
• There was about five seperate beginnings and I couldn’t decide on one, eventually I decided on one with a bit of help and now look at the story grow! (One of the unused intros had Stardust attacking Trixie like a dragon)
• Sunrise’s design (Mainly the frill and wing shape) and Stardust’s colouring are based on a light fury from the ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ series
• Zecora was going to join Trixie on her adventure but I scrapped it because I felt her rhyming would have gotten tiring
