Twilight Sparkle TROPE (Friendship is Failure)

The Determinator: She always tries her best to get through to those with friendship problems and help them improve their lives, no matter how much they reject and act hostile towards her. She gets as far as saving someone from suicide, even if she gets shamed for it afterwards.

    What is YOUR Definition...

    People often yak at me

    "Try better yourself"

    "Grow up"

    "Improve"

They say all that, but they don't provide actual definitions or explanations of what they mean by all that. It's like I'm supposed to guess what they want.

The same thing follows with fiction, when people whine and complain.

    "This sucks"

    "Write them In character"

Twilight Sparkle Improving Lives? (Friendship is Failure)

    People sure love to complain...

She always tries her best to get through to those with friendship problems and help them improve their lives, no matter how much they reject and act hostile towards her.

She gets disrespected a lot because she wants to help people, even though she's a princess who's saved Equestria on multiple occasions.

De-Bunking Stone Heart's NARM (TV tropes) · 10:19pm Feb 1st, 2022

What kind of name is:

Stone Heart's name. Usually, a pony's name corresponds with their respective talent, but his name isn't connected to either waste management (his job) or writing (his hobby).

The key word there is "USUALLY" as in "Not all the time"

Look at Cheese Sandwich? That's his name, and his Cutie mark is that too, yet he's a Party Planner, and owns a Factory. dealing in novelty items and party supplies.

No match there.

Cheerilee doesn't quite hit the mark. True, she's a cheerful pony, and loves to bring joy to people, hence her cutie mark is cheery flowers... but she's a school teacher. For that, according to YOU, she should have a different name and Cutemark (Like a chalkboard, or a textbook)

Why even Rarity only HALF makes the mark.

Her cutie mark is of three diamonds, while that may match her name, and her specialty is FINDING gems... then why is her main occupation a seamstress and fashion designer? If anything, she should be an archaeologist, or a full-time miner. (Forget the dress-making)

Then again, the way people act, you make it sound like Cutiemarks dictate your entire life (You get one-- that is your future, and even your ORDERS of how to be)

So why should Stone Heart and his Cutiemark match EVERYTHING when they really don't have to?

The Write a Wrong version of Stone Heart has a writing-related cutie mark: a broken pencil and pages flying out of a book. This helps make it even easier to believe his special talent is sucking at writing. Ironically enough, the Stone Heart in Write of Way has the same cutie mark and he even says outright that it's a cutie mark in bad writing, except this Stone Heart can actually write a good story. You'd think the positive reinforcement from readers of his good books (including Princess Celestia) would encourage him to climb out of his rut and turn his life around, but instead, he pulls a Talon Ted and instead starts wangsting about how it goes against his preferences and hurts his pride and dignity, pawns his paychecks off to charities so he doesn't have to look at them, and curses out the princesses for daring to pay attention to him for something he hated making. Long story short, he's a ridiculously overblown Drama King even by the usual standards of these fics.

Stone Heart can actually write a good story.

Stone: "Princess Celestia/Twilight!!! You may think this is a good story... I do not.

You may get a sheer delight from characterizations such as these... for me, it is a world of suffering."

You'd think the positive reinforcement from readers of his good books (including Princess Celestia) would encourage him to climb out of his rut and turn his life around,

Another way of putting that; he should forget about being who he is, drop the things he likes and change to the way the way the people want him to be, even though he desists it so much.

In other words, it is He who must change simply because they demand it.

and again, No. He does not like the way those "Stories" are written.

Just as people mocked and bullied him for his failed stories (The ones he prefers and cherishes) they force him into writing stories with concepts and settings and characterizations he finds appalling and detests so much.

That "Positive-Feedback" to him is just more insult to injury.

"Oh, so NOW I'm good enough?!"

(Even some of my own positive feedback was proven to be haters just being dicks again)

"Too bad, I thumbed this up to spite you."

"I'll give it a thumbs up anyway, because I know it makes you angry."

...So it's not positive feedback at all, and Stone's can be partially considered the same way.

And to make matters worse, those who bullied him before for his failed stories STILL bully him for those "Good stories" and never had the intention to STOP bullying him (Showing with proof they are not concerned with Stone's writing or any literature for that... they just want to bully HIM.)

Why Change FOR THEM, if they don't even care if you Change or not, and that nothing will truly change from it?

Stone does not wish to be praised for things he hates, like those "Good Stories" and just as people chewed him up and crushed him for his other stories, he is simply returning fire and hurting the people back for the way they treated him.

Stone: “Alright, Princess Twilight! If you and your friends feel that way, why don’t YOU write stories like this, and while you’re at it; YOU can all accept the fame and praise and pride you feel that comes with it…

…BUT GET OFF ME!!”

Stone wants to do things his way, not their way (Twilight's way)

You'd think the positive reinforcement from readers of his good books (including Princess Celestia) would encourage him to climb out of his rut and turn his life around, but instead,

You'd think?

More like "You Demand."

Just like Twilight and her pushy attitude. She's trying to "encourage" ponies to change, when really its more like she's ORDERING them to change (Preferably;y to HER specification)

Twilight: "I'll come by in few days and see if maybe you change your mind."

Stone: "I will NOT change my mind, Princess. Good day!"

Twilight: *Sighs* "Very well, Stone Heart.... Good Day."

*Gets up and leaves*

Stone: "...AND... SHUT THE DOOR!!"

My haters always prefer Twilight go rage-mode, and beat him senselessly for that simply for wanting it, and while what I'm about to say is simply out of "Wanting it" too, the fact remains Twilight should just accept she has failed to change him and let him be instead of getting in his face more.

There is a story by Leo Tolstoy "MARTIN THE COBBLER." ("Where Love is, God is")

The elderly Cobbler was INSPIRED to renew himself, but it was his choice to try and do.

But those sorts of changes are a choice, not an obligation or an order.

If Stone doesn't wish to change... who says he HAS to?

Of course when I say that I refer to outside of fanfiction... when it comes to INSIDE.

I write the story...
I am DICTATING their lives (All writers do that)

And though characters don't HAVE to be punished... I still WANT them to be, after all...

If Beast Boy should be whipped simply for making an honest suggestion... what should be done with Raven?

Raven had no right to do that period, and also... I don't consider Teen Titans 2003 a comedy in any sort.

But you need to get it through your thick skull; the way you treat those characters is nothing short of bullying. After all, you hate them because they are happy, better themselves, and have decent lives.

As usual, pulling the "no you" statement that a kindergartner would bring up. So pathetic.

We are, it's an objective fact.

No you're not.

After all, we can just stay away from them and mind our own business,

No you don't, you just keep getting my ass anyway. Hypocrite.

you seek them out and try to antagonize the fans. Therefore, you're a bully.

Wrong as usual, I don't antagonize fans, and the sooner you accept that, the better.

And the fandom isn't going to change no matter how many terrible fanfics you write, and no matter how badly you think your writing "gives everyone a dose of reality", it's just showing everyone how little of a grasp you have on basic logic.

You need to get this through your head... I am not trying to change the fandom, I am just writing fanfiction. (Period)

Nothing of certian importance here,im just fucking confused if there is

Trope misuse is the worst!

Good thing I deleted that entry off the Narm page. If you need any more wrongly applied tropes removed off the TvTropes pages, I'm your guy.

Trust me... you'd be busy for days.

Every single trope about me is built by my haters, sometimes they even PROVED they couldn't read the stories right.

One time they accused Stone Heart of punching his bully down, when it was really Twilight who did it.

And Pinkie Pie's new son that I gave her in Starfleet. (Bisque Spice) when his name is "Biscuit Pie"
