MLP theory Ep.1 repost: Celestia is a liar · 3:10pm Jan 21st, 2022
Is it possible to manipulate the sun?
Our sun is very, very heavy. Assuming that your sun is the same mass as our sun ((5.97237×1024 kg) × 333,000), it would be almost impossible, as 1 kg is about half of the weight of a very heavy book, so (5.97237×1024 kg) × 333,000 is very unrealistic unless Celestia is some kind of god. But here in the alternate universe, the sun doesn't move around the earth, the Earth moves around the sun!
If the earth turned fast enough to put the sun, assuming it's at a 20° above the horizon, below the horizon in about a second. You might ask, "What's a second?" Well there are about 86400 seconds from the start of the sunrise of one morning to the start of the sunrise the next morning here, but the times of sunrise might be different there. Another definition of a second is "The second is defined by taking the fixed numerical value of the caesium frequency ∆Cs, the unperturbed ground-state hyperfine transition frequency of the caesium 133 atom, to be 9 192 631 770 when expressed in the unit Hz, which is equal to s–1." That sounds like nonsense to me, and probably to you too, but I can't think of any process that would be familiar to both of us that equals about a second. Just know that a second is a very short period of time. Sorry for getting off topic. If the earth turned fast enough to put the sun, assuming it's at a 20° above the horizon, below the horizon in about a second, it would have to move about 2226 km in that one second. The distance between alternate universe Los Pegyses (Los Angeles) and alternate universe Manehattan (Manhattan) is about 4000 km. If the planet shifts that fast, everyone would be thrown around in their own homes every sunrise and sunset. But I am making some assumptions, 20° above the horizon might not be accurate, as it could be less. I made up that 20° number for the example. Also, the sunrise and sunset usually take a couple seconds, not just one. But even accounting for that, the movement would be noticible to everyone on the planet.
But what if..... the planet is flat, and the sun just moves around over the plane?
Debunking the Flat Planet Theory
A group of humans believe that the Earth is flat, and they are almost certainly wrong. In the theory, the sun is a smaller glowing ball in the sky, one that may be slightly more realistic to move, and the sun and the moon rotate around the sky to create night and day. So I'm going to concisely explain why they're wrong.
- If the sun and the moon are as small as they are in the Flat Earth Theory, and the earth is as large as it is the Theory, then the earth's gravity would pull the sun and the moon towards it, creating a large crash.
- If the sun and the moon do in fact rotate in a circle around the center of the plane that is the flat earth, then you wouldn't see a sunset and sunrise, instead the sun or moon would just appear smaller and smaller as it travels away.
- If the earth was perfectly flat, the gravity at the center of the earth would very slowly pull the ends of the earth closer to it until it becomes a sphere.
Replace "The Earth" with whatever planet you are on.
As it is not possible to move the sun, and moving the earth would cause a noticeable shift, you are all being lied to.
The so-called "Princess" is pretending to be able to cause the sunrise and sunset to get all of you to fall in line.
