Ain't that something.
So yeah, it's 2022. WHich feels like 2021. Which isn't the best place to be. Though honestly I continue to be stupidly lucky in that things are going well-ish on my end, if a bit ... quiet. As sadly there's not much opportunity to go out and Do Things or Go Places, for any number of reasons. And while having a Real People Job(tm) is nice, it puts me on an actual ... schedule, as opposed to my aimless meanderings back during the summer of 2020.
Or I may just be a little out of the loop because of ... winter. Winter sucks, man. I do not like the cold.
But! This entry is not just here for me to complain about a lack of sunlight and single digit temperatures! As ... well, I at least have some fun stuff going on.
Like, I've been deep-diving into Persona 5. I'm on my first (and completely unoptimized) run-- like, sixty hours in? Kinda wish I started playing this game earlier, and I also kinda wish I'd sprung for Persona 5 Royal so I could get even more content, but ... I'll manage. I honestly was kind of 'meh' about the game as the first act is super talky and cutscene heavy, but once you get into the rhythm of it, it's super fun. It doesn't hurt that it hits a lot of the 'teen superhero friends' tropes that I've always eaten up ... ever since I was a teenager (but not a superhero). Like, I haven't beaten the game yet, so I'm not thinking about writing P5 fanfic ... yet. But I could see myself doing it if I got really bored and/or ambitious. Also, Makoto is best pony.
Speaking of writing, though, I've ... actually been doing so! Bit by bit, given my schedule and all, but yesterday I found some time to write silly fanfic again, and I did some more writing today , so ... hopefully I can make it a habit? I may even post some stuff in the near future. How 'bout that? I probably won't have anything for the crackshipping contest (not to mention I'm a pretentious enough of an ass to declare that Flash Sentry/Carrot Top isn't a 'crack' ship because I've put 100,000 words into making them work dammit, so if you just read my entire ouvre it'll make perfect sense ...) but the cartoon crossover thing Wanderer D just announced has me ... curious. Brainstorming, even. So maybe you'll get more than one Tumble-story out of 2022. If you're lucky.
So yeah. Figured I'd check in and ramble a little bit, because that's kind of like socializing these days, right?
Speaking as a completely unbiased judge for said contest, I look forward to any entry you may cook up for it.
