Melody watched the skyline from the trees, her rifle perched by her side. Her eyes were fixated on a battle above the mud of the Deadzone. She watched as mechanical pegasi, better known as “planes”, flew around like wasps to a nest, machine guns roaring as many spiraled towards the ground. She chuckled, cursing the mechanical creations.
Just then, a plane, this one painted a light blue, shot down several pony planes, one of which came spiraling towards Melody’s tree. She stared at it, before grabbing her rifle and hopping out of the tree, the plane smashing into it and catching fire. Melody ran over, peeking into the cockpit. Both the pilot and tailgunner were dead before they’d even struck the ground, as they were punctured by several large bullet holes.
Melody look back up at the blue plane, hearing an audible, female, cackle.
“Haha! Come on you dog sons of bitches!”
