Chapter 17 is Out! · 9:56pm Jan 12th, 2022
Quick morning blog for me as the time I've started writing this, I have 15 minutes before I gotta get on the road to work, and it's probably icy out today.
I am not 100% satisfied with this chapter, especially considering the last chapter was a bit on the slower side as well. Still, not every chapter can be highs. Gotta play with that tension curve after all. I am currently taming 18, which I am glad I got ahead of the release schedule as I needed to tweak this chapter a little to match stuff coming up next week. Just a few more weeks until we hit 20 chapters on this fic, and I'm pretty satisfied with how it's going despite the pace. I was kinda hoping to be closer to done with this by now, but I guess the story will tell itself in its own timing. I keep finding out more about the characters as I write them, despite all the planning I had done before starting the writing.
I hope everyone is onboard to continue the slow burn towards... whatever is burning. Also, this is one of those chapters that I've had the music selected for the past 5 years, so that should signal a bit of importance. I'm pretty sure keen readers will pick up on it by the end.
In other news, I kinda wanna do that crackship contest if I can find the time to not delay Electro Swing. I've got one in mind that, considering the point of writing such a story, will allow me to try something that I've always wanted to: First Person Perspective Zecora.
For most writers are filled with dread of writing while inside my head.
But not for Rego as you can see, he might enjoy the frivolity.
As for coming up with rhymes so sublime, even if he lacks the time it's really quite fine!
Oof, that last one was a bit rough. That's why I like having an editor. Okay, well time to hit the road.

(I've been meaning to write a Zecora-centric fanfic for quite a while, as a matter of fact. I really ought to buff out that outline of mine sometime.)
