Hey Folks!
Yep, I finally did it!
One of my new years resolutions was to broaden my selections for both writing and reading. While I haven't kept up with all my resolutions, I have that singular one. I read something that I wouldn't ever have even thought about if I hadn't had to read something of the type.
Whether or not I enjoyed said fic is not something I want bother with right now! The only thing is; I read it!
I'll explain further for those who are unaware - which is everyone reading this for the first time - I read something that had Applejack and Rarity officially going out together, with one another, and were both quite happy with how they were getting along. In simpler words; I read Rarjack fic! 
For those who know me, you'd know that I despise Rarjack with every fiber of my being. I don't go out screaming to everyone to not ship it, I merely don't ship it myself. I just don't think Rarity couldn stick around with one gal for too long, and in my head she's with Shy or Spike, so I don't like the idea. I'm gonna leave it there.
Now as for the what I read, its this little fic.
I'll tell you this, I didn't particularly know it was a Rarjack, from the cover art, it seemed to be something that was in my favor. I didn't even pick up on the shipping until half way through it. I had initially wanted as sad AppleDash, but instead I got this. Yea, yea, I know, it mentions their break up in the description. I was just they were going to make up and get back together.
If I were to talk on a writing snadpoitn alomd, I'd say it was pretty good. Not bad at all. Nothing wrong with the first part. No grammar issues, no typos, all character, for the most part, were in their right character traits. It was pretty decent in that view
If I were to tell you what I thought of it based purely on my opinion, I'd say something along the lines of; I fricking HATE this!
I'll elaborate. I'm a gal who holds personal opinion over anything else, so finding, and somehow managing to read it, was quite the reach in itself. This has EVERY little thing I HATE!
It's got AppleDash breaking up because of Lightening Dust (a character I hate to no dying degree).
It's got Applejack going to Rarity for help after she thinks Dash cheated on her, which wasn't true.
It's got Dash leaving her bucking dream of being apart of the wonderbolts!
It's got Applejack being a fricking dick to Dash (which is Out of Character for her)
That entire thing was unbearable for me to read. Oh and I'm aware this is a sequel, and for that reason alone, I went and read the original, but that only made me hate the sequel more!
Now, I just want to say; I've reached out of my comfort zone, read a RariJack fic, and am not pleased. If anything, I think I hate RariJack a whole lot more now.
Bet y'all were thinking I'd like it huh?
Well, sorry to burst your bubble, but I didn't, to no extent.
Actually, the second part of this was quite weak, I don't know what it was, but it's really weak compared to the fist chapter. I think it brought down the story a little if you ask me. If that hadn't been there, I think the story might have benefited, but again not gonna go anywhere with.. And that little bit was on a writing standpoint.
Sorry to have gotten your hopes up for nothing, but I can't exactly change what's real, now can I?

Nothing's worse than setting down to read a story and realizing halfway through that you don't like it.

Seriously, thats happened to me, faaaar too many times at this point, I'm getting upset:
To be honest I kind of expected that you would not like a Rarijack story once you started reading it and to be honest it isn't my favorite ship either.
