Welcome, 2022, may you be at least marginally better than the absolute dumpster fire that 2021 ended up being. I mean, expectations were low after 2020, and yet, by some stroke of ingenuity, '21 managed to top that year. Besides all the pants on head stuff happening in the greater world due to a virus that shall-not-be-named (Covid! There, I named it.) Things have just been all over the place at a personal level.
This is where a list of all the bad things is usually done, I suppose. I try to avoid interjecting my personal problems. Sometimes I fail and a blog is made that lasts anywhere from a few minutes to maybe a day before I delete it. That happened very recently when my little Tweak passed away. Losing him has been very hard. I don't handle stress well. I keep feeling him as he died, my hand on his little, bony chest. His legs kicking as he tried to run. And then. I miss him, and I feel I failed him.
I'm hoping to have the next chapter of Sunset of Battle out soon. I've been reworking an argument/encounter in the later third of the chapter. Getting it to fit and feel right. It's not quite there yet.
