    Still working on Midnight Rising...

At the rate of about 800-1000 words a day. That’s my key to getting stuff done that’s causing you issues; just be sure you put at least a little time in on it this day to have some forward momentum. The two chapters are now up to 24,100 words. I’ll work on it more this weekend, at least around continuing work around the maps and battle graphics I’m making for Feathered Hearts.

Did two things this past weekend...

First, I ran 10k for the first time in two months after laying off that long to let my ankle bursitis subside, trying to allow the area to generally heal up. It appears that it worked. To my delight, there was no ankle pain after and I hadn’t even lost much stamina thanks to hitting an elliptical machine twice a week for an hour instead of jogging. My upper legs are another matter, though.

C&C chapter 40 entering prereads tonight + teaser

Much as I didn’t want to, I made the decision to break it up since the full length of the War Council meeting had exceeded 20,000 words and will probably approach 25k for the now-two chapters before all is said and done. The breakpoint itself will be between learning about the general war situation both Aricia and the Griffon Kingdom face, and then discussing what in all the Crows they’re going

Midnight Rising/C&C update: April showers may bring May flowers...

But of more interest is the emergence of 17-year cicadas in my area. Big, ugly, red-eyed insects that are the size of your thumb but basically harmless, as long as you can get past all the shed skins they leave behind on leaves and the everpresent and disconcertly loud background sound they produce as a mating call. Fortunately, the outbreak in my area seems pretty limited. There's a few around,

Midnight Rising update; Feathered Hearts C&C teaser...

Hey, folks. Here’s my weekly writing update. I’m tagging this as C&C since that’s what the teaser below is about, but the blog is about both it and Unleash the Magic - Midnight Rising.

Christmas and Feathered Hearts - Eros release in the books... · 7:57pm Dec 27th, 2021

Hope you folks all had a good holiday, and I’d like to extend a warm welcome to new readers of Feathered Hearts - Eros! It didn’t feature—its like-to-dislike ratio isn’t really good enough for that at 6.5:1—but it still got a slew of new tracks and likes. I admit I was nervous about how the chapter would be received, given the subject matter isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Or in the case of the griffons, bowl of tea. But I was pleasantly surprised, and needless to say, I do not plan to let four-plus months go by again before I do the next chapter! Especially considering what scene is next...

Oh, Fortrakt. I only do all this to you because I like you. :coolphoto:

But next up for me to write is the second full chapter of Harmonic Resonance, which stands on the cusp of 40 likes and 100 tracks. As you may recall, this is a story commission by Guardmaster, who requests less emphasis on the undressing phase and more on being magically pleasured in the remaining chapters. So that’s what he—and you—will get. I am aiming for a New Year’s Day release (Saturday), though it remains to be seen if I can get it done in just five days time. I’ll give it the old college try, though, with 1500 words already down. I’ve been paid for 8000 words this go around, so that’s the length you can expect.

For those who hadn’t already figured it out, the next member the Humane 6 up to sensually ascend to Daydream form is Applejack. You will once again have to wait for the end of the chapter to find out what her goddess name is and what she can do.

I’ll write it when I’m feeling frisky, and work more on the next chapter of the Feathered Hearts main story when I’m not. With regards to the latter, I’m sure everyone is ready and eager to see the griffies and Marines in action against the Cloven and their captured creatures—which does include adult dragons!—for the first time. How can the Marines take on enormous firebreathers right out of human mythology? You’ll have to read to find out!

I’ll try to give a teaser for the new Feathered Hearts: Continuation and Chronicles chapter later. Will there also be one for Harmonic Resonance? Well, it depends on if there’s enough of the new chapter that’s non-adult to allow for one. I don’t plan to linger that long on the leadup this time, so we’ll see.

So yeah, best way to deal with dragons: hand held anti tank weapons, gen3 and up fighter jets, the amount of artillery the russians put on the east front during ww2 and a rail gun mage.

What’s the context?

So yeah, best way to deal with dragons: hand held anti tank weapons, gen3 and up fighter jets, the amount of artillery the russians put on the east front during ww2 and a rail gun mage.

Well, they’re a little short of Gen 3+ fighter jets and heavy arty at the moment, though the griffies might have their own equivalent of the latter. Hand held AT weapons might be effective against a grounded dragon, but what about the in air? And what do you mean by a rail gun mage? A mage who can fire projectiles like a rail gun? :rainbowhuh: We’ll have to ask Nydia about that one!

Gate

Uhm depending on the speed of the dragon.
I mean if someone can shoot a Blackhawk helicopter with an RPG, it should be possible to shoot a slow/hovering dragon with a LAW/AT4... Not to say Javelin.

Railgun mage was also more a reference to Gate, where Lelei, the more she learned about physic, the better her magic became. Which ended in her using a bunch of swords as high speed projectiles against a dragon.

So if someone explains to Nydia the speed of sound, and how mass and speed are in relation to penetration power, maybe she can speed up some crossbow bolts to suler/hypersonic speeds for some good effects on armored targets.
