I can’t believe it’s been that long. Right off the bat, I never played the game since I don’t have Wii. I discovered the character on the Sonic wiki and the cutscenes on YouTube in September 2010. I instantly fell in love as soon as I heard their voice with a feminine tone and a lovely English accent.
NiGHTS brought a lot of comfort whenever I feel down and/or stressed. They helped me get through life when I was in college. Their androgynous design inspired me to listen to underrated music and take slow and steady steps to embrace my authentic self. I even wrote a fanfiction about them 3 years later.
Still hoping for news of a 3rd NiGHTS game but to this day, there’s no go signal from SEGA. Either way, NiGHTS will always remain a lovable cult classic. If only I could give them a hug to show how much they made a significant impact not only to me but also to everyone who came across them during their formative years.

Interestingly, Nights gets referenced a lot in the Sonic franchise (including a cameo in Rooftop Run in Sonic Generations, if memory serves).
