Starlight Glimmer and Shepherd go to try and make peace with the Changelings...
Shepherd: "Hello Queen Bug-Pony! I am here with Starlight Glimmer to try and make peace."
Chrysalis: "Oh, are you? I find that interesting-"
Shepherd opens his coat, revealing a strange device strapped to his chest.
Shepherd: "I have strapped to my chest a human device known as an 'atomic bomb'. It is monitoring my heart rate. Should it stop receiving the signal of my heartbeat by, say, me dying or it being removed from my person, it will explode with enough force to annihilate your entire hive and render your race extinct. So your two choices are: Continue to live and make peace and become our friends, or die by atomic fire. What's your choice?"
Chrysalis: "You're insane! You'd die too!"
Shepherd: "Well if I'm insane, I don't care much about dying, do I?"
Chrysalis: "... Um... So... Tell us more about 'friendship', won't you?"
Starlight Glimmer: hissed "Are you crazy?! You're trying to blow us up too?!"
Shepherd: low voice "Of course not. I'm bluffing... Probably."
Starlight Glimmer: "What do you mean probably?!"
Shepherd: "Well, either's it's a functioning atomic bomb or it's a very fancy replica that will just go 'ding' when I trigger it. And I don't know enough about atomic bombs to know the difference, but it's got them talking with us. So I'd say that's a good start."
Starlight: groans
Oh yes the old diplomacy through Superior Firepower. Ha!

I mean, even a bum model should still have enough conventional explosives to take out Chrysalis from point-blank range, or at least put a dent in her throne. I see no flaws with this plan whatsoever!
Well, that's definitely a Shepherd way of doing things...when all else fails, make it explode!
