I have Decided on the Length of a Moon. · 12:02pm Nov 22nd, 2021
So this phrase of time keeping in the world of My Little Problem, is vexing. The creators didn't want to flex their creative muscles and assign a numeric value to it so I am going to. 1 moon is 8 days, equestrians have 8 days in a week. One Year is 50 Moons, 400 days. 100 moons is 2 years, 800 days. The seasons are 100 days long, or 12.5 moons. That .5 of a moon is wiggle room for screw ups and delays. Additionally, Months are 25 days long and there are 16 of them in a year. If you don't like this then feel free to go the harvest moon rout of 100 day long seasons and no months.
Why did I decide this? I am tired of guessing. So I wanted something that was a good representation of time, that gave the consequences of being trapped in Equestria girls weight without being 3 years like some people thought. Twilight would have been trapped for most of a year, but not three. I wanted 100 moons to be longer than a year without being stupid and taking the place of a year.
MLP still uses years, but celestia controls the son. They still have seasons even though pegasai can manipulate the weather. They still use Moons even though Luna controls the moon. So moon has to to mean something. Making moon take the place of a week seems to make the most sense. More to the point, we never hear ponies use the word WEEK in the entire series. At the very least I have never heard it mentioned.
